Can you give me a sample of this "carrier customization"? Fundamental to carriers or to us the customers?

well propietary 5g implementations.. each carrier is doing 5g slightly different than others.. same went with 4g lte and prior..

also certain features.. sprint for example took forever to just have even a few devices that could use data while on a call..

theres also a difference in overall technology (although this isnt much an issue nowadays) such as cdma and gsm..

you get the idea..

Any idea as to why my phone isn't finding this September update? I flashed tmobile firmware to my unlocked snapdragon 10+ and when I goto update I get a message saying my phone is already updated August 1st.

Because it's not out for the Tmobile phones yet. Not accessible for the US unlocked version either. So either way, you will have to wait.

I have unlocked Note 10+ on T-mobile and flashed ASHB manually through patched Odin found the file in the thread note10+ u and u1 firmware.

usually when someone with ATT phone receives a update, and I check my phone and says its up to date, I manually go into the date and time settings, and set my date 2 days into the future and when I go back and check for software update, its there and starts downloading, I just did the same thing for the Note 10+ I have in my hands right now.

I just got the September patch from AT&T but is not the reported baseband version that most people have ending in (1ASHE) mines end on (1ASI2) is that normal? I have always gotten the same baseband version that gets reported when the patch starts rolling out 1st time getting a completely new one.
