Hi Guys,

As i have less than 10 posts, so not allowed yet to post in the DEV section, i still have some questions as i want to customize my Desire HD.

Although I'm i noob regarding Smart phone customization in overall, i successfully have rooted it, S-OFF and RADIO OFF, and made a backup of my current ROM via Recovery

Now i want to try MIUI 1.2.11, ver2, but before is start i need to know something...

1) Can i use ROM manager 3.0.0.7 ( with Clockworkmod 3.0.0.5) to install MIUI, or is it mandatory to downgrade to ROM manager 2.5.1.3?

2) Does MIUI come with a kernel with working WIFI and BlueTooth? If not, what kernel do i need to install? (my current kernel is: 2.6.32.21 - gf3f553d [email protected] #1) - As im not allowed to post links yet, so not able to link to a kernel database with available versions i can choose from, can someone point me to the correct kernel please?

3) My DHD radio is version 12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.26_M. Can i continue to use this one, or should i upgrade to a better one.. And to what version?

Have done S-OFF and RADIO OFF, and CID-11111111 and tried installing MiUi 1.2.11 with clockworkmod 3 (radio is 26.06.03.24_M2), and it locks on the bootup HTC screen - even tried leaving fo 20 minutes, but still nothing.
No-one else seems to have problems installing - what am I doing wrong ?

Okay thank you for a very clear explanation...
Should i put the visionary in my phone too?

I downloaded the files right then extract in in a folder inside my pc after that i would plug in my dhd on usb debuggin charge only? Then click the visionary? Ill just follow the guide of visionary? After temproot then perm root then after my dhd reboot should i unplug the usb wirr? Or should i just let it idle and proceed to s-off and eng s-off? After that and radio and choose a radio mod? Then after finishing this.. will my dhd reboot?idle?unplug?

Before i copy d rom inside my sd then use d rom manager
Which is better? Wipe right? Is this clean install?

Visionary is a phone app. Stick it somewhere on your phone and then use a file explorer (I used Astro) and find it, click it and install.

Phone is not plugged in to PC during visionary, once your permrooted THEN plug in charge only usb debugging on, and use the utility to get s-off.

Download and install ROM manager and install ClockworkMod recovery etc. Backup current ROM then put your desired ROM on sdcard and flash through rom manager>install zip from sd card

It is recommended to wipe.

Ah i ok i just thought because i have S-OFF, i would be able to install the stock rom it anyway, so ive done that and installed the stock PD98IMG 1.32.405.6

Is there anything else i need to do to prevent the phone from locking again? also ive read about this clockworkmod recovery and rom manager.... is that needed to keep my unlock or anything? thanks again guys.

Ok I have a problem,

I have a SHIP-OFF and ENG S OFF device... The problem is that i can only use "adb" commands when the phone is on. This does not work in fastboot usb mode.

It worked before, but stopped working today for some reason...... any ideas ?

i just bought dhd yesterday, i am from Croatia and it doesen't have croatian language, it has a lot of east european language but not croatian...
how can i get croatian language ang keep everything else how it is???

Awesome

Erm to swap ROMs, you have to just flash it like you did this one through ROM Manager. Backup first (obv ) and then just restore it back if you don't like it!

hmm i am using android revolution...

i wasnt able to calibrate it because when i turn off my DHD it boots up to recovery. soo its epic fail for calibration -.-

please please help me i can't make a root for my HTC desire hd,and i used the "visionary".apk v.r11,r12,r13 &r14 and neither one of them could be installed giving me the "there is a problem parsing package" so please can you give me a solution for this problem and thank you very much

[Q] Prosess Monitor states 99% CPU usage most of the time

I have a question. I have downloaded Process Monitor because the phone is a "bit" lagy. Proces monitor shows that the phone is using 99% CPU. The culprit seems to be android system running at 62%. The source indicated by process monitor is /system/framework/framework-res.apk. Can anyone tell me what the normal CPU usage should be with normal usage? Can anyone tell me what framework-res.apk is? A sollution would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, USB debugging is on and the /INIT is not the problem on my phone?

Sound as if speaker has broken.

I bought my HTC Desire HD from HTC distributor (clove.co.uk) about 3 month ago. All of a sudden yesterday there is this low volume, robotic voice kind of voice and echo when I'm talking to someone during call. I tried to fix the problem by resetting the phone but all to no avail. I think I got 2 official (OTA) update from HTC since I bought the phone and everything has been working well till 17/2/2011. I tried the headset that comes with phone and the problem is not present. It appears if I use the phone without the headset. Can you help advice me on what to do? The phone is becoming unusable and I'm very frustrated. I am using the phone in Malaysia

Location Force Close

why when i want to use the Location it is give me FORCE CLOSE??
i install it from the setting so many times but it is the sam!!!!

Try wiping dalvik cache then fix permissions in rom manager.

Here's a quick question about CM7 RC1 and Google Apps.

I have upgraded CWM to 3.0.0.5, and followed the instructions as it written in the related topic. Wiped all, flashed ROM first and then Gapps.

Problem is, when i first boot my DHD, it asks for my Google acc. etc, and then for gapps. I select Gmail, Maps etc. But it doesn't install them. As it tries to open Market page for them and then "Not found" item appears for every item i selected.

So i have installed CM7 RC1 but no gapps. I'm from Turkey btw. As far as i know market is disabled in here. Flashed Cm7 after Android Revolution 2.0.11.

Could anyone help me with installing Gapps please? What am i doing wrong?

guys I intend to flash CM7 RC1,but from what I infer from this requirment:

Older Radio have know issue which drain faster on asleep, 26.04.02.17 is higly recommended

my phones radio is older (baseband version says:12.28b.60.140eU_26.03.02.26_m) SO how do I flash a new radio? halp!

Hi, since I'm Not allowed to post at the development thread, I hope someone here can help me. I flashed to Revolution hd 2.0.11 and since that I cant get a gps Signal. No matter which radio i use. I tried several radios...just got a signal once...but lost it within seconds.
At the moment I'm at 26.04.02.17 .

Im about to sell my DHD and i want to get back to stock. Can someone help me with this? Where i can find the original rom etc..? I cant find the answers in here because my bad english..
