I've heard of moto doing a 2 ghz (possibly dual core) phone in or around Xmas. if this desire hd comes out and its all its cracked up to be then great. I don't want to do what I did last time and get a phone just that little bit too early when I could've waited a month or two. in your opinion, do you think the hd will be better than the galaxy S? as I've seen the galaxy s, running some 3d apps at ridiculous frame rates and the desire (original) got left behind. Is the new hd packing a better processor or is it the same one as the old desire?

thanks.

Yup I bought my TP2 from them and I will never buy from them again! My TP2 developed a fault within a month of purchase, their view is " we don't handle repairs send it to HTC" I got comments such as "Sale of Goods act does not apply to us, we're mail order" and "Once you open the box you've accepted the contract so Sale of Goods act does not apply". I got no response from recorded delivery letters! Because I needed the phone I gave up (small claims court was next step and would have taken too long) sent it back to HTC and got the repairs done.

caveat emptor!

Agree, their customer service is ****e. As long as you don't have any problems with the phone or transaction then the price is good. My nephew had a run in with them regarding a faultly handset which got quite ugly.

To make money. Duh!

You do know that Sprint is the 3rd largest carrier in the US. Releasing another version of this phone for Verizon or AT&T allows access to millions more customers.

I would say the backlight is turned off when she holds them together.
3.04 backlights on when she touches... It looks like the backlight is umm pulsing? on and off alot :/ When on the home screen I think its maybe the wallpaper that's pulsing as when scrolling through the others are far brighter.

It's got a new qualcom procesor with an Aderno 205 GPU wich is supposed to be x4 faster than the 200 in the N1 and Desire, which should be on par with the SGS and DX reaching around 55fps on neocore :D

whenever they zoom in with their camera the backlight looks dim. I don't know what to think of it... specs of my favourite website say it has S-LCD. I can't imagine it not having that.

You guys do know that SLCD is a name of a BRAND, not a display technology... right?...
A brand associated with high-tech panel factories.
Factories that are associated with the latest generation LCD tech.
Latest generation LCD tech that is associated with the brand S-LCD.

dHD is an expensive device. If HTC will not ship it with the highest quality panel available to them (which is currently S-LCD made)...
They WILL feel the heat...
