I have figured out a method to install it completely without root and it has working bookmark syncing. You can also install just the bookmark syncing if you already did the root method. My browser.apk also has the string for the find on page button fixed.

The button in the menu to search for text. It displayed the wrong text on the stock rom with an unmodified browser.apk. The link on my thread is fixed now by the way.

If it doesn't work on cwm u could always go to blackhand1001 thread and install there with his method as well...no recovery needed...basically manually install apks. Could even extract them out of my zip and install manually as well. :thumbup:

I promise I'm not trying to be mean, I am curious. How do you know it's actually faster? Everything seems to load at the same speed to me.

When I have a lot of tabs open in Chrome (or Firefox or Dolphin) I get delays switching tabs, reloading pages, or switching back from another program. Stock works more like I expect... Of course, your mileage may vary.

Hmmm...try going into system /apps/browserproviderproxy.apk and add .bak see if that helps
