Coming from 10.1.3, had TWRP 2.6.0.0 emmc installed, wanted to use a newer recovery to flash 10.2 because I thought it would offer better compatibility(?). Flashed the ovation-6.zip from the CM 11 thread. Now when I try to flash the latest CM 10.2 nightly (20140108) I'm getting assert buildprop errors. Attempting to edit the updater-script then leads to updater binary errors. Attempting to flash an older recovery also reports an assert error. I ended up using the TWRP 2.6.0.0 BOOTFILES version to flash CWM v6036, then flashing CM 10.2 worked as it should. What is the issue here?

Verygreen in his cm11 thread has explained the assert error and posted a corrected version.

If you are a bit more "handy", you can always extract the older recovery image from the older cwm and write it in place using dd without needing the sdcard, but that's somewhat more involved.

CWM sdcad is always a life-saver

Same here. Using the right CWM for NOOK hd plus, could not flash back to cm 10.2, could not even flash back to earlier CWM.

just giving the statue 7 mistake

(we are using the RIGHT version for nook hd plus. We know it is ovation. We are not dumb)
Read verygreen's thread! He explains why the issue.
