Really?

You know how to use a computer right? Go to google and type in asus whatever slider. Then find a website with some specs on it. Open another tab and google Motorola Xoom. Then find a page with specs on it. Take a look at the two and make your own observation.

I dont mean to be a **** but these posts asking other people to make your comparisons for you is ridiculous. Do some research and have a specific question about the two. Dont ask someone else to do the work for you.

Agreed. This is the XOOM forum, not the "lets compare all tablets to the Xoom" forum.

my tablet comparison

COMPARE NVIDIA

NAME HD CHIP BATTERY REARCAM FRONTCAM RAM CONS*
Motorola Xoom 32GB Tegra 2 dual 10 hours 5mp 2mp 1GB
Asus Transformer 32GB Tegra 2 dual 9.5/16 hours 5mp 1.2mp 1GB
Acer Iconia 32GB Tegra 2 dual 6.5 hours 5mp 2mp 1GB
Galaxy Tab 64GB Tegra 2 dual 9 hours *3mp 2mp 1GB *(no inputs)
Asus Slider 32GB Tegra 2 dual 8 hours 5mp 1.2mp 1GB (no root)

COMPARE INTEL

NAME HD CHIP BATTERY REARCAM FRONTCAM RAM CONS
Acer Iconia 32GB 64b AMD 1ghz 6 hours 1.3mp 1.3mp 2GB (ugly)
Samsung Slate 128GB 64b i5 6 hours 3mp 2mp 4GB
Asus Slate 64GB 64b i5 1.3ghz 3 hours * 2mp 4GB (battery, camera)

Samsung Sliding PC (May release)

This tablet comparison led me to buy the asus slider cause I didn't want to wait for the expensive Samsung Sliding PC. However the Asus Slider still can not be rooted.

The pros of the Xoom are 1) it can be rooted fairly easily 2) it has better battery life. The pros of the slider are that it (once it can be rooted) has the potential to be a real actual 405$ production computer because it has a keyboard, which makes it one step up from a netbook because it's lighter and less embarrassing to turn on on the train and then it can double as a tablet or production computer.

If you want root now and only want a tablet device to play games on and check email, go with the xoom. If you can wait for the ability to root it and want a $450 real work production computer which can double as a gaming email tablet, go with the slider.
