ASUS honored my warranty even though my bootloader is unlocked!

For those fearing that an unlocked bootloader will mean a losing the hardware warranty, read on. I took a chance and it paid off.

no one in their right mind can argue that unlocking could lead to your problem. if the argument could be made they very well may try to charge you. simply depends on the circumstances.

Good thing it was a hardware problem or you would have been out of luck. I can't count the posts I've read where Asus charged someone for fixing a bricked device due to them screwing up the software.

Still, its nice to hear about about it. It'll give a few people out there a little hope that are experiencing hardware issues. :thumbup:
