Asus ME176CX wifi issues and overheating

I purchased this memo pad yesterday and so far I have found that I can't get the internet speed passed 6 or 7 mbps despite my home fibre broadband being 152mps. Everything is lagging like helI can't even open the app tray without a 5 second delay. Then to my surprise I was watching a video and it's now overheating as well. My questions are
1 is anyone else suffering these problems
2 is there a way to help resolve these issues
3 should I take it back and get either a replacement or a new tablet altogether
