The relatively new Asus Memopad 7 ME572CL looks like being an interesting alternative/successor to the Z Ultra.

Reviews are pretty promising, it has stereo speakers and Apt-X codec. Pricing looks to be quite reasonable too.

too weak to be a successor. just because it has the same form factor/similar screen size, doesn't mean it can replace the XZU. Not even close.
