I think it at least partially helped my cause that I emailed Asus technical help department several times about my bootloader unlock issue, as well as repeated unlock attempts with official tool (at the time on .78 WW firmware) - it eventually worked.
Make sure device connected to Internet when attempting BL unlock.
[I had CN device (non-Strix) with WW pre-flashed on purchase.]

I can't seem to be able to relock the bootloader. The all-in-one tool could not identify my phone the first time, it displays the serial number correctly though (the only option is ROG Phone 2 though...). I put my ROG Phone 3 into fastboot, choose the options shown on the screen from the first post, but the command window spews an error:

FAILED (remote: 'Command not supported in default implementation')

and sometimes FAILED (cannot write to device)

I have the adb drivers and platform tools installed and working.

Can someone explain what I am doing wrong?

Make sure you are using USB in side port
Go into fastboot mode
adb oem asus-lock

Which side port do you mean? If the left (upper) one, I did use it. Or did you mean the one that can be fried if used for charging?

Is it important which folder the Tool is in or what priviledges it has?

EDIT: just figured it's impossible to fit USB-c cable into the lower port, sorry.

I've got platformtools folder just in the root of my windows machine .. I'm assuming you have USB debugging enabled in Dev menu ?

Also Asus ROG drivers loaded on PC ?

Just got my rog phone 3 a few days ago, luckily got the bootloader unlocked in first attempt. Phone was already on the latest firmware which is showing on Asus support. My question is what's a 'Raw' rom/firmware ? are these raw firmwares flashable in twrp ? cheers guys

Firmware (stock/ custom) is usually in default form of .zip file, which can be flashed via various ways including TWRP;
or
(for latest stock firmware) just placed in the root of the Internal Storage - your device should detect it automatically & install it.

A RAW file (different format) of a ROM (stock or custom) can be installed via fastboot commands while connected to PC. This usually takes longer compared to flashing a .zip firmware, and is a more thorough install of ROM especially if standard .zip installation is messing up/ problematic.

Hello guys,

My ROG 3 just got repaired from our service center. They also did install a updated version of WW.2104.147 and relock the boot loader. I Now the problem is I could not unlock the boot loader again via Unlock tool APK. I saw some threads and comments stating that it cannot be unlocked again but does someone found a way to unlock it?

Thank you

Updated mine tencent version converted to WW by seller to newest Android 11 rom placing zip file in root folder.
I wish to revert back to android 10 but can't unlock bootloader with tool provided by asus nor with fastboot :/
Should I flash it with fastboot raw firmware to get A10 back ?

edit: Just after loading raw image of Android 10 and it works as expected :)
edit 2: After flashing raw firmware unlocking tool works as expected! Got my bootloader unlocked with official tool 9.3 :D

How to flash firmware using type-C only? My laptop doesn't have usb-2.0 port but only USB 3.0 & type-C ports

Does anyone have the extracted .img files? TWRP fastboot isn't letting me flash any of this, so I need the stock recovery .img.
