Unlocker won't let me past the Google account verification

UNDER "UTILITES" THE SECOND SAYS VERSION 7 ASUS UNLOCK TOOL (YES I'M AWARE IT SAYS FOR ICS ONLY BUT I HAVE TRIED IT AND IT WORKS WITH JB 4.2.1)
DOWNLOAD IT EITHER FROM THE TABLET ITSELF OR LOAD IT TO AN SD CARD.
IT IS AN APK FILE SO IT WILL INSTALL AS AN APP.
RUN IT, AND *SCROLL DOWN TO THE END* ON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, AND AGREE TO IT. THE TABLET WILL REBOOT AND ON THE TOP LEFT CORNER IT WILL SAY "UNLOCKING DEVICE" GIVE IT 5 MINS DONT FREAK OUT. ONCE DONE, IT WILL SAY "DEVICE UNLOCKED" AND THERE YOU GO...

I'm experiencing a bizarre and aggravating problem: I recently bought a new, urefurbished TF700 because, well, it was really cheap at this point. It's running 4.2.1 and doing it s l o w l y. I decided to root and was happy to find this thread, even though it goes back a ways.
I downloaded the ICS unlocker and installed it. No problem. But when I try to run it, it asks me to confirm my Google account and when I enter the password, it today's the message " password invalid". Repeatedly. WTH? I'm simply not able to get beyond this point. I've factory reset, deleted and reset up my Google account from the tablet, even changed my password on the Asus site to the same as my Google password just in case. Nada.
Any advice?

Do a factory reset, do NOT set up a Google account, run the tool. Has worked many times

This is the FIX.

1. Download the Un-Lock tool for the TF-701, it can be found on the ASUS website and save it to your external SD card so that you will always have it.
2. Factory reset and don't associate your Google account (ASUS device tracker is defunct and you won't be able to verify your Google account
3. Run the Un-Lock tool on the factory reset TF-700 from the External SD card.

If you get the "un-known Error , Network try again later, yada yada yada.....It means that the ASUS server is not online or just busy not a fault of yours or mine. and you need to try again later as it says.

I have found that around 12pm EST is when its online for me usually you can do the math on that for your time zone. But keep trying as it does work. I would try every hour or so

Good Luck

Anyone have the link to the unlock tool (ver. 7) I went to Asus site and it appears that no matter where I go or what I search for I cannot find the page to download it. I do have version 6 that I used on my TF201 but don't want to risk bricking my TF700.
Thanks

Can you explain the step by step process of how to downgrade, I'm in this dire situation right now

If you DO want to go about it by downgrading:

1.) Download the firmware (do a Google search, as a newbie I can't post external links)
2.) Extract the ZIP - there will be another ZIP in that folder
3.) Connect tablet to computer
4.) Move ZIP to internal storage
5.) Reboot tablet
6.) You should get a notification in the lower right that an update is available. Click on that and it will ask to confirm installation of the new (old) firmware.
7.) It'll do it's thing, maybe 5-10 minutes. Then it'll reboot. Just give it time.

Hi all,

I think I'm being a bit of a numbnuts here but for the life of me I'm struggling to free my tablet up. Its currently running very very slow, when you select something to happen there's anything between 30 secs to 1min lag. All I want to do is install an android version, don't care which, that will allow this tablet to work smoothly. It's been relegated to being used for reading materials and kids games, but even then there's major lag and the kids dont' want to know (which is a good thing) but I still have an almost brick.
Having read the various instructions across many threads about unlocking/rooting/installing I'm still having trouble, not sure if it's age or whatever but anyway.

Does anyone know if any folks are willing to help by doing this for me, happy to make small contribution to time and effort of course as I just want this table to work!! I'm in the Sydney area.
Or if there isn't, does anyone know if anyone can talk me through it step by step? Again, happy to make small contribution for time and effort once done.
I'm pretty much at the end of my tether with this tablet, but reading some of the posts here, it seems it's worth persevering with.

Cheers

The US site no longer is hosting the unlock tool. It doesn't even list the TF700T.
I found it and downloaded from Asus Russian page https://www.asus.com/ru/support/Download/28/1/0/11/8/
(you can use Google Chrome to translate the page if you want)

Click on Utilities then look for
Описание Unlock Device App: Unlock boot loader(Only works with TF700T ICS OS)
The download button looks like a floppy disc

It worked for me on Android version 4.2.1
Build 10.6.1.14.10

Trying to unlock bootloader on a TF700T that someone pulled out of the closet. The links for the unlock tool are now dead. Does anyone have a copy of the unlock app they can host/share?

Thanks.

what is twrp and cromi x 5.0?

Sorry for my stupid questions, but I am a newbii on lunix systems. Is it worth to downgrade and upgrade and take the risk to make my tablet unusable?

Another newbii question: Is it realy necessary to fill out the annoying image verification on top of each post?

Thank you for all your help in this forum.

    Edi

Cromi-X is a custom firmware. The 5.0 has been released 5 days ago. It make your tablet more fast and fluid. TWRP is a custom recovery and is necessary for any custom firmware install.

I was like you on .10 stock last week and after lot of search and good help here ( thanks berndblb) i finally install it !

I'm not usa or english like you so i will put here step by step what you need to do without expleination :

1- Unlock your tablet with asus tool :
    http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/EeePAD/TF300T/Unlock_v8.rar

place the apk file on your tablet and install it / run it and ... let's do

    Your tablet is now unlocked

2- if you are on 10.6.1.14.10 you need to downgrade to 10.6.1.14.8 (because motochopper don't work with .10)

But if you are on .8 actually go to Step 4 directly !

3- a*To downgrade you need to download the 10.6.1.14.8 firmware and place it on root of tablet.
    http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/EeePAD/TF700T/WW_epaduser_10_6_1_14_8_UpdateLauncher.zip

Extract the zip file from the zip file ...

b* Restart your tablet and you will see a notification on task bar about update detected. Clik on it and run install.

You are now on 10.6.1.14.8 firmware.

4- Root with motochopper. you must set usb debbuging mod (in developpers options) and Run bat.exe

Your tablet restart automaticcly and you are rooted.

Go on play store and downlod "Root Checker" Run it (accept SuperSU autorisation) and verify if you are Ok !

5- You need install TWRP. Just go on play sotre again and download "GooManager". Install it / run it (accept superSu autorisation) and on top right corner clik on menu [3 point] and clik on "Install OpenRecoveryScript"

    6- Download cromi-x 5.0 here : http://d-h.st/IJe

take a micro sd card and put the firmware in. (CROMi-X ODEX 5.0.1_Signed.zip)

7- boot into recovery : press and hold the Volume Down and Power button at the same time.
you will see 3 icon. You must Clik up on Flashing RCK icon it will Boot on TWRP.

8- in TWRP choose "backup" don't touch anything just make sure it's on extranal sd and slide to save.
it's necessary if you have a problem you wil have a save from your last good configuration !

After don't clik on reboot clik on home button and choose "wipe" slide to start and wait...After Clik to return home again

9- Now it's time to install cromi-x Make sure your micro sd is in tablet.
Clik on install / select the zip firmware file on micro sd clik on verify and slide to start install !

The custom firmware have a lot of option when install so don't touch anything just make sure it's 240 dpi (like original firmware)and choose boot loader 10.6.1.27.1 from sbdags.

    After installation have fun :)

    Stupid easy (locked-root)

    Enable USB debugging.

    Plug in TF700T.

Windows 7 loaded all of the drivers.

    D/L the file.

    Extract.

    Double click run.bat.

    Answer a couple of questions.

    Root in under a minute.

YES I'M AWARE IT SAYS FOR ICS ONLY BUT I HAVE TRIED IT AND IT WORKS WITH JB 4.2.1

Unlock tool confirmed working on JB 4.2.1 - just unlocked the bootloader on my totally stock TF700T JB 4.2.1 (WW). Now to flash CROMI-X! :victory:

ok ..i have manage to unlock my device (Transformer Infinity) but something is going wrong when rooting

    I have the same issue.

    I'm having the same problem

With an unlocked device it is simple to root any firmware - install a custom recovery using fastboot. TWRP will ask to root the ROM and install a superuser app, or you can install a pre-rooted custom ROM. No need for Motochopper.
