Recently I came across a broken phone in a storm drain on my street. I ordered a new screen for the phone in hopes of repairing it and either returning it to its original owner. After repairing the screen and powering the phone back on, i discovered the owner hadn't left any information of the lock screen that would allow me to contact them to return their phone. I tried to get their information through their sim card but also had no luck, I also checked the IMEI for any reports of it being lost or stolen and it came u clean. I decided since my phone broke a few weeks earlier and i had no way of getting this phone back to original owner, I would factory reset it and use it for a phone. The only issue is after i factory reset the phone i was met with a notification from the factory reset protection prompting me to enter the google account that was on the phone before i reset it. I have tried every solution i could find online to bypass the FRP and none of them worked, i figured something such as the rooting the phone would be able to solve this issue, but cannot root it without having usb debugging enabled, although i am locked out of the developer options that would allow me to enable usb debugging. I am completely new to any of this and any help or information would be great, thanks!
