ASUS Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 - All you need to know about.

Hello.
I have Zenfone 5 T00J. I've updated it from latest KK from Asus Support page to Android L. Factory reset, clear cache and everything's fine until i change my location. When i go 30km my sim cards are no signal and i need to reboot my phone. Enabling/Disabling flight mode doesn't work at all. I can disable it, but can't enable. Any advice please? Should I sideload once again L? Or full downgrade to KK and then update once again to L?

I try to change CUCC to WW version, i already do all step to flash it,
but when i do sideload process, it stuck in sideload process, and then my zen5 was reboot, and back to recovery mode
when i restart my zen5, it show usb mode or brick,
why my zen5 stuck at sideload process...?
can you help me.?

Check your flash .zip file. Is it corrupted file?

haven't tested the screen on time but deep sleep and during call the battery backup is much better than the stock kernel

i have been using this for more than 2-3 weeks now, and never faced any reboots during calls
but I remember 1 instance of phone reboot but it was in idle mode, other than this never faced any abrupt reboot

It does Reboot after a continuous 40min phone call....that's it.

Im a newbie here, and am seeking help in here.
Im currently using zenfone 5 a500kl (not cg),, and recently its gone crazy with non-stop popping up
"Unfortunately [could be anything at random] has stopped" messages.
I tried to factory reset and it failed with lots of errors such as "E: failed to mount/dev/block/mmcblk1:/cache (Invalid Arguement)"
and after resetting it, it failed to boot(only asus logo is shown). I believe that its already brick-ed
I then tried to flash the recovery by adb-fastboot or something? but it also failed as I believe it was because Im using the
recovery image for the model A500CG or others that arent for A500KL..I tried to search in google for the recovery image for it but to no avail.
Then I also desperately tried to use the image found in the zip filed firmware i downloaded from asus support for A500KL(Version TW_12.4.5.58),
still failed with the error "FAILED (remote : This recovery image is too old to run on the device)".
I dont think so as that image is the latest I believe, or maybe its not the recovery image for the device as I just tried it blindly without knowing anything.
Im already out of ideas, could someone help me?
The last thing I wanna do is buy other phone.

My Friend's A500KL Snapdragon 400 model have a same problem too. Most of application crashed with a lot of pop up message, can't fix it with re-install lastest firmware. Then I tried to factory reset but get error that said failed to mount cache partition.

At last, I told him to visit ASUS service center and now he got a new mainboard replaced.

Stuck on Asus powered by android screen on zenfone 6 because of cutting system folder

Hi,
I bought a zenfone 6 from China. That is CUCC rom. I tried to change it into WW but failed. (Actually I wanted to use google services.) Then my phone got soft bricked but it was running good as before. I tried many times to convert into WW but each time could not run recovery mode. While running recovery, a usb logo with white bar appears. Sometimes the bar turns into red.
Then I downloaded Gapps for zenfone 6 and copy system folder from it into external sd card. Then I cut original system folder from my phone to external sd card to save a backup before pasting new one from Gapps. But while cutting the original system file, the phone got hanged. Then I power off the phone and try to power on again but the phone stuck on the ASUS logo. I can enter fastboot mode but can not enter recovery or hard reset because usb logo appear then.
If I enter fastboot mode, now it shows WW A600 CG. But before it was CUCC T00G. I don't know when it changed.
Please help me to solve this. Plz plz plz.

Hi,

My phone has a very strange situation.
Phone is Zenfone 6.

I flashed WW-2.22.40.44 firmware boot files as foloowing.

fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot fastboot flash fastboot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

I uploaded same firmware from ADB. The phone is working and entering recovery mode.

There is no problem with WW-3.24.40.78 firmware. It is working.

However, I tried to downgrade previous versions with boot files below 2.22.40.44 , the phone doesn't working and not entering recovery mode. It stays on Asus logo.
If I flashed dnx, dnx_osr and ifwi files from WW-3.24.40.78 firmware.
If i flash dnx, dnx_osr and ifwi files from older versions, screen is not visible, nonsense image on the screen.

What is the problem?

I am running Gapps on my ZF 5 CN. I flashed Gapps in TWRP Recovery, I slightly renamed the apk's for Goggle Play store and Google Play services and that works for me since 1 year.

In order for xposed to work framework should be flashed from twrp......app is just for installing xposed modules .....

Absolutely not : check the app, there are3 installation modes (for the framework)

Anyway I am asking if the Xposed module is compatible with the Zenfone 5, and if yes, what is the way to install it
