Success!!! My free Galaxy gear will be here tomorrow, via overnight shipping also free by FedEx. The key is to try to find a rep located in Texas, it seems like they are the only ones to know about the promo. I talked with multiple reps located everywhere, a Texas rep in customer care placed the order. Tell them you were offered the promo by a rep over the phone when you purchased the note 3. I bought my note 3 12-12-2013.

Congrats! How did you go about it? Can you explain? I'm going to upgrade tomorrow and would love to get a gear.

I just called 611 and spoke to many reps and got transferred many times. Told them I upgraded and was offered the free Galaxy gear promo with the purchase of a note 3. The majority of the reps I spoke with claimed they knew nothing about the promo and since it was not notated in the account they couldn't do anything about it. Once I spoke to a rep who lives in Texas, which I believe is where the promo actually existed, she knew about it and was actually able to pull the promo up. She said the promo ended September 30, but since I was offered it by a previous rep and the rep that offered it probably didn't realize the promo ended, that at&t had to honor it.

I was close...

Called 611 and first rep had no idea. Second did but couldn't fill order - gave me number to sales. Called sales and first agent honored right away and even gave me option to pick up in store which i elected to do. Notated my account and sent text message confirming for support at store.

Went to store and was rudely dismissed despite account notes and text message. Spent the next 4 hours on the phone with 11 different CSRs all saying the promotion didn't exist and couldn't help me. Was only offered tablet instead and even $25 credit despite escalation tickets.

Called sales department back, received confirmation of order and told would honor but would have to be done by manager of original agent. Now I am awaiting a call back within the next 24 hours.

I didn't receive a call back from the manager as promised today so I called back and used my escalation ticket from yesterday and basically had to rehash all of the conversations I had yesterday and the day before.

At the end of the day, the Premier Resolutions supervisor was very helpful and stayed on the line while we worked with customer relations.

Because of all the BS and transferring they gave me the gear and a tab 3.0 for free. Received all of the order confirmations already and looking forward to getting it when I get home.

I wouldn't say it was easy or pleasant experience, in fact, I couldn't believe how difficult it really was even after there was proof that it was offered. Like the post a few above... Just keep trying and don't give up!

I did all that and came to the conclusion that there was no benefit whatsoever in doing all that!

When referencing N080-OY-134839 - they can see that its a business premier order - but they can not search it without the cell phone number on the account :(

Any chance the OP of the order number willing to PM me his/her cell phone number for reference ? if so thanks in advance !

I am right there with you. I have made multiple calls and they continue to pretend that this offer never existed. The last CSR I spoke to called the location known to have the promotion and that location flat out denied it. I think the only way I would be able to get one for free in Wisconsin is if I had someones contact information and order number. When do you think it is time to give up on this?

I talked with many CSR's and didn't give up and finally succeeded. If you bought your note 3 over the phone, tell them the GG was offered as a promotional deal by the CSR that placed your order. If you ordered it by ATT.com, internet, tell them you had a CSR on the phone while placing the order and that it was offered to you by the CSR on the phone. Those were the two stories I stuck with and succeeded. The last CSR I spoke with the ATT Texas phone center and was able to pull up the promotion and honored it. The CSR stated the promotion ended 09-30-2013, but since I was offered the promotion that had to honor it.

I have basically said that my friend was offered the deal and asked me of I got the free gear. I have already made 5 calls and I and I am sure they are noting my account. I hate to ask this but would you be willing to pm me you info and order info to see if that helps?

Success today! Got it free...kind of...

Had lot of free time today as I had to turn my work PC in for an OS upgrade. Had time to kill so thought I'll call AT&T after reading the below blog

Told the customer rep that I was upset with AT&T as they didn't honor the free galaxy gear promo for me. As expected they couldn't find the promo so said they can't offer it to me. But rep was nice and said he will try to work out something for me. Was on hold for 20 mins and then he came back and told me they can give the gear for $100 and then give $35 statement credit for 3 months which effectively worked out as free galaxy gear!

Hit thanks if this strategy works for anyone else.

I heard that some stores will offer the gear for $100 if you buy the device at full. Price. Then you can sell the gear online.

Thanks to this thread I have a galaxy gear headed to my house. I told them about the promo and after being transferred twice I ended up with a manager who quickly override the price and shipped it overnight. I got my Note 3 back in october.

I originally called to get my monthly bill lowered after hearing about all the offers AT&T was giving people due to people leaving for t-mobile (611 -> 4 -> 5). After giving me some deals, I thought about this thread and brought up how the promo existed and didn't receive a gear. She checked and found the promo and promo details. She couldn't order it so I was put on hold while she talked to customer care. 5-10 minutes later I was told they were going to call the AT&T store that I bought my Note 3 from for proof of purchase and to see there was no gear on the receipt. The store told them they weren't running that promo. I continued to insist I was told the promo was nationwide and the previous rep said I should of received it, in addition to other people receiving theirs post purchase. The current rep then tried to order it and failed and offered me to talk to a supervisor. From there it smooth sailing. She asked me to explain the promo and apologized that I didn't receive it. Confirmed my address and asked what type of shipping I want. Next thing I know I have an email with the tracking information.
