Wow. The anticipation is just unreal.

If you have followed ATT releases before it is well known that they do it on Sunday, which can speak for and against the latest confirmed 'rumors' about tomorrows release.

In all reality who cares, we know how ATT disappoints us every time we get hyped up, so I am just sitting back and watch the show.

If the phone indeed shows up tomorrow, not only will a bunch of us customers be really happy we will also be surprised that ATT came through and I guess we can give some credit to all the blogs out there that confirmed the 18th.

Bottom line is that no ATT press release exists about an actual release date and still no pricing.

I am sure our east coast xdev users here will be the first to burst the bubble or be excited, until then let's just all agree that the new SGS2 is a great phone and a HUGE improvement over the Craptivate.

Have a good night ;-)

Well, the simple method which AT&T usually follows is sometime late tonight they will do a press release of all the new coming phones that will be up for sale tomorrow and the turning on of the LTE markets. AT&T has never been a company to broadcast many phone announcements ahead of time and usually just announce it right as the shipments are on their way to the stores. IF the GSII is on that list then you'll know that there will be GSII phones somewhere tomorrow along with that new Sony Phone and I think a Pantec (BLEH) thats also due to be released tomorrow on AT&T, I know a lot of major retail stores get deliveries early Sunday for some things so you never know.

I don't know what's the big deal with AT&T version. The international version works just fine on AT&T except without the fugly branding, bloatware and being locked. Plus I can use a dumb phone unlimited $15 data plan with it without any issue. I see no reason to get the AT&T version. If anyone think buying it outright is too expensive, you might as well use your upgrade to get iPhone 5 and then sell it. I'm sure you can even profit from it as the iPhone price goes high when it's first released.

Just posted by DG in the captivate section. The FCC just sent through ANOTHER ATT phone, the i727 SGS2 with LTE. Looks like the i727 passed FCC 2 weeks ago on Sept. 1st. I am SO CONFUSED...

Also I see Someone else also shared that Samsung just put up their website for the i777

Called my local AT&T store and they told me that SGS2 will be released in mid October. If that's true I'll probably wait for the Nexus Prime (if the GSM version comes out)

Is the international galaxy s II too hard to unlock? do you think the at&t galaxy s II will be hard to unlock? i live in latinamerica and naturally a branded phone is cheaper than an unlocked phone, so i was thinking ofg buying the at&t version since the 3g bands are the exact same we use here

I forgot to reply, I called another store yesterday and asked, the dude was like, we are getting it, I'm not sure, he then put me on hold and came back then said, " all I can say is that we will have it in the near future".

I laughed and asked if is that all you can tell me and he replied yeah sorry.

It's disgusting at this point. I was gonna return my Nexus S and shoot for the s2 but at this point why should I?

No one knows when the bell its gonna be released, if at all, if I knew it was gonna be the flagship for their new LTE service then I would wait it out, but after doing this time after time I'm ready to throw in the towel.

Exactly, AT&T doesn't know how to space their phones out well and against the competition. Why open up an LTE network without a great phone to go with it and to be able to be used with that network?

IF they are going to release the SGSII with LTE capabilities (AKA the i727) it should have been today even if the LTE service is only available in five markets, when the Evo 4G was released I believe coverage was pretty nil but people still got it to be able to be future proof somewhat, and it worked, the Evo 4G had a very long run. I don't see this happening with the SGSII in the USA.

The closer to October it takes for AT&T to release ANY model of the SGSII be it an LTE version or the regular "4G" version the less likely it will be for people to go buy one simply because the Nexus Prime, HTC Holiday and several other smartphones that will be ICS ready with faster processors, LTE ready and with QHD or HD screens will be available by early to mid November.

While the SGSII phones are great phones right now they have been out for almost 6 months and the competition for top Android phone is about to get very strong, good examples of this is the 3D phones released this past summer, I'm seeing lots of people trying to turn in their Evo3D's to get Sprints Epic Touch and for AT&T's Thrill 4G - it went straight to the bargain bin.

By January the 4.3" SGSII will be the $99 AT&T phone while the Holiday and perhaps an LTE version of the SGSII along with the others that will come to be will become the phone to get. In this bad economy even $200 phones with 2 year contracts last too long for phones to simply be flavor of the week, that's one thing I respect about the iPhone series, it might have taken forever to release the iPhone 5 but once it does get released buyers won't have to worry about anything better coming along for another year or so. For me, the SGSII will be my contract phone unless Holiday comes out, and and crossing my fingers to be able to buy an AT&T version of the Nexus outright.

Enough of my rant, now come on and bring the out some type of SGSII to AT&T before its too late.

Can't really blame Samsung for this, the one comfirmed AT&T version of this phone could have come out at any time, it's basicly the intl. version and could have been released at any time. If anything blame AT&T for not wanting to release a phone that is better or probably rivaling the iPhone 5 too close to current iPhone release date, no matter how many carries may get the iPhone 5 AT&T is still Apples bottom b*tch and has the most iPhone users in America, for them to have released the SGSII or anything better any earlier could have made iPhone users jump the gun on Apple once their contracts were up and went to an android device - I'm sure Apple pays better dividends to carriers for each iPhone sold than Samsung, HTC, Motorola or LG.

I'm not blaming theM for the wait. Notice my sig? That's why. Slow updates, and a bad UI. THANKS TO CM7 I'm living the quick stock life. I don't even wanna try TW4. Although I do like the processor
