Looks like they kept their promise with the monthly updates.. At least they did for this month. AT&T is getting V10I pushed out today. At only 46.7MB, I doubt this will fix any of the major problems, other than stagefright.

This would be huge if it fixes the issues. Can't wait to hear from someone who takes the update

So two things need to be done about this:
A) Does the update break root/can the update be done with root.
B) Someone with the touch issues should take the update and see if it fixes said issues.

I'm almost positive that at a mere 46MB that this may not include said fixes, but it's worth checking out to see.

It is just security. Another user confirmed that the horrible touch and lag survived the update :(

According to changelog only security update as promised by LG. I wouldn't search for any other changes if not listed. Or maybe LG never mentions all changes?

Where is 5.1.1? Another update and we still are on the version of lollipop that still has the memory leak. Booooo. How hard is it too update your code real quick to the newest version. Pure laziness

to them they don't care, they already have our money so they don't put priority on updates

Do you even know how many versions of the G4 there are? H815, H811, H812 and a lot more.. It's not that easy to just code real quick to the newest versions.. Plus I have no memory or touch issues, maybe that's why I'm patient to wait for Marshmellow..

I'm not holding my breath for marshmallow, ATT won't roll that out until April, that's why they need to roll out 5.1.1 now! Really for crying out loud 5.1.1 was 2 months old when they released this thing. I'm going back to a nexus next time, screw this crap

I actually do love this phone overall, sorry just annoyed. Really thought 5.1.1r6 would be how they delivered the stage fright fix. As a former nexus 5 user and current nexus 7 user, every version of lollipop before 5.1.1 is garbage from my experience. Keep you device on for more than 24 hours and the system starts going haywire and randomly killing processes. And no I never had any touchscreen issues. I checked out the optimus G, g2, and g3s update history before I bought this and unless at&t decides to give their update department speed, don't except a major OS update until the nearest April after it releases

I just took the update with root and would not update. The phone said Update not available while in download mode(?) and rebooted. Dialog box come up on reboot saying Device suspected of rooting and updates are not availabe to rooted devices

Is there any way to get a rooted version of this update?
Someone who isn't rooted would have to take the OTA then extract their system.img and post it here so we can inject root into it.

EDIT: If someone can provide me with a stock 10I system.img I can root it and upload the prerooted .img

I'm not rooted and never attempted any alterations on this phone and it wouldn't let me download the update. Said something about an invalid package for this phone.

Now the option to update is gone.
