Added USERDATA for build TE2, for those who might want to be on a newer version. This build is also available for T-Mobile, so the rest of the files can be obtained via SamFirm/Frija, and other sources
Thanks for sharing. I manually updated to TE2 a couple of weeks ago without USERDATA; do you know if there's anything different in this version of USERDATA that's worth updating on our devices?

correct, I was running the prior version of AT&T firmware and I flashed the TE2 Odin files for AP, CP and BL only. is my phone going to blow up now, lol?
No, but you should always flash CSC too.

I don't know what the differences are in the USERDATA. But it'll wipe your phone if you flash it, so don't do that if you don't want it wiped

To be able to change XAA / XAA / ATT you must use samkey to buy 3 credits and change the csc to ATT or TMB if you want it to be t mobile
Samkey says the phone is not supported. Do you know which model you used to get it to work?

Just went for it. For anyone thats wondering You don't need a device model for it to work. Just picks it up on its own.

Here's what I did

  1. Make sure ADB will work. Drivers installed, etc.
  2. Buy 3 credits from ebay (you only use one but I think 3 is the minimum. I was confused because I thought I had to change each CSC in tha XAA/XAA/ATT to TMO. Not the case)
  3. Download the SamKEY tool
  4. Install the SamKEY tool
  5. Enabled debugging on your device.
  6. Start the SamKEY tool
  7. Log into SamKEY tool with the credentials you get from the seller
  8. Plug in the phone (make sure debugging is enabled)
  9. Enter TMB or ATT or whatever CSC you're trying to set in the "Change SCS (buyer)" field.
  10. Click change CSC
  11. It will do a few things and reboot twice

You should be good to go after the second reboot. There should be a message int he SamKEY software that states CSC changed or something.

I changed csc to xaa/xaa/art. Everything seems to work including 5g on T-Mobile and caller ID and spam protection.

Found a complete different solution. after doing many different firmware download and flashing nothing worked and could not get the CSC change screen using *#272*IMEI# to work..
Went to

https://www.mysterious-dev.com/2020/05/changecsc-all-samsung-free-tool-android.html

and downloaded the ChamgeCSC Software tool.. Went thru exact direction.. watched the video couple of times.. The process lets you install custom THEME.. I was getting "Update" "Delete" and "Buy" ..

What did was
install another random theme
then went back to the program and clicked change CSC agtain
this time when I choose the custom theme pack, I saw the Try now.. after that I followed the instruction to about phone->legal and clicked on CHANGE Carrier Android 10 and VOILA!!! I got that CSC change page.. I saw XAA was selected and I changed to TMB... after that "Sales& Network Code Change" and clicked ok.. .The phone restarted and saw the T-Mobile logo!!!!

I even tried the *#272*IMEI# and this time it worked and showed me the CSC screen!!!

Hope this helps anyone who is stuck...My phone now says TMB/TMB/ATT!!!

BTF4 for T-Mobile is available now with July 2020 security patch. I used the file from Frija (also available on SamMobile) to update my ATT Note 10+ 5G.
Hello. Current build of my N976U phone is N976USQS1ATA6 which seems like from February 2020.
This will be the first time I will be doing a manual update of firmware.
I have a AT&T unlocked version and currently using in Singapore with TPG Sim card.
1. Could I use the latest firmware from July to update my N976U?
2. If I will not include the USER file it will not flash my current setup on the phone?
3. After firmware upgrade, does it retained the unlocked of the phone and can still use different SIM card?
4. Could Iuse any other USB to upgrade the firmware (not the Samsung usbc cable since my computer does not have USBC)?

I already backed-up my phone thru Smart Switch and downloaded the the latest update from SamMobile.

TIA.

1. Sure
2. I don't understand the question
3. If the phone was SIM unlocked properly, then that won't be affected
4. Your computer doesn't have to have a USB C port. You can use a cable that has USB A on one end, and USB C on the other end

Sorry. I'm also kinda confused on what is USER file is. So correct me if I'm wrong. USER file is to install latest apps from AT&T?

I have now the N976UOYN3BTF4 from SamMobile. and 3.13.4 version of Odin.
so after firmware upgrade. My phone will still be unlocked. I just need to attach the following files in Odin

AP (System &Recovery)

BL (Bootloader)

CP (Modem / Radio)

HOME_CSC_*** (Country / Region / Operator)

I will use HOME_CSC to retain my current phone setup. Right?

Is there anything that I missed as I'm about to update the fimrware now. Thanks everyone for the help.

Thanks for answering it.

Also in Options is there anything that I need to check on the below as per default?

Checked - Auto Reboot
Unchecked - Nand Erase
Unchecked - Re-Partition
Checked - F. Reset Time.
Unchecked - DeviceInfo
Unchecked - Flash Lock
Unchecked - Decompress Data
