This may be a little off topic. But if anyone here owned the original sgs(captivate). Remember that things gps. From rooting to swapping internal files.. to prying the antenna up and polishing the back cover... After all it ended up being a hardware issue with the phone basically all phones.
But since then ive owned the sgs2, note1,(all great gps) and currently the note 3. (with this gps issue :silly:)
What do you mean the Note one sgh-1717 had major GPS hardware issue with the contact points here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1973727&page=11

Every Samsung phone I've had has had issues with GPS

Is this issue just for Note 3 900A models using the ATT network ? How about using the N900A on the T Mobile network? I guess I am trying to ask if its network issue for this phone.
My son has a N3 on Verizon and he is not experiencing this issue.

Florida unfortunately.
Yep, I meant that it isn't even possible to have an AT&T note on Verizon's network.

Fair enough. I guess my question is this hardware issue on the att version or network issue. My wife has an att note 3 on t mobile. I don't think she has gps issues but I could run some checks.

What we really need is for everyone experiencing this issue to log onto the at&t forum and post a comment. This forum is monitored by at&t so the more complaints the better. I called tech support yesterday and the guy just laid the problem on samsung. He claimed at&t had nothing to do with the software on the phone. I bought 2 notes in feb. 2014 and was never told of this problem even though they knew about it months before. Very disgusted.

I spoke with a representative last night and he told me that a update may fix the GPS issue. I was really only calling for a timeline on the fix. He said within 3 months. :(

I have 4 Samsung phones right now
Verizon S4
AT&T Note 2
AT&T Note 3 (original purchased new in Jan)
AT&T Note 3 (refurbished/warranty replacement)

I've run several tests to isolate this problem. I now have a method that anyone can use to see their phone ahs the problem.

Read my two posts over at AT&T:

Post 1: http://forums.att.com/t5/Android-Discussion-and-Support/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-3-GPS-Issue/m-p/3919348/highlight/true#M50905

Please run this test yourself. Do it on your Note 3 and your friend/family's other Android.

You will see, your note 3 is also flawed. You paid for a broken product. Now that you know, shouldn't you make noise about it!! Yes .... the squeaky wheel gets the oil

I try to post something on that thread on their Support Forum at least twice a week. The best part there's a woman on the thread that somehow seems to think its an isolated issue and it just happens to the 10 pages worth of people posting on the AT&T Android Support Forum. You know since the rest of the problem threads are half of a single page long...
