Yeah, I've disabled some of them, but I really prefer to use titanium backup to freeze them.

I prefer to uninstall completely with root unistaller.

Cannot wait to nix all that at&t crap, and figure out how to can that flip board thing you get with a swipe up from home. And of course delete Knox and 15 other useless Sammy bloats.
Wonder if root will impact this ad blocking problem i currently have. YouTube app won't run with wifi proxied thru adblockplus

The flipboard thing is my magazine. Can you disable it through application manager? I actually like it as it reminds me of the blinkfeed i used to use on my htc ONE but its less invasive as that

Sorry, I'm not sure what I am suppose to be looking for in the picture.
But if root is achieved you'll save me a heck of a lot of money, so I'd make a hefty donation!

I just checked if you cant disable it through app manager and you can only force stop it. I know using a 3rd party launcher stops it from coming up but if ya want to keep using tw ya may be stuck

Awesome! Congrats and Thank you!! ARe you going to claim the "Root" kiddy? It's up to a few hundred I believe :)
If/when this happens, I think he would be saving a lot of us some money as we can make use of available upgrades through AT&T. Leaves us more money in the kitty to donate. (Speaking for myself at least)

Glad to see some progress. I need root to run several apps including TB, android tuner, and directory bind. Thanks for putting the time and effort into it.

What do you figure the chances are that a root could come out of this?
Pretty good, but I can't seem to package the system.img.ext4 back up in a way it will flash.

Right now I am hex editing su binary in and replacing another file, about to boot it up and try it out.

If anyone has an info on repacking the images, that would great, I have tried every method I can find.
