AT&T S5 Rom Update 4 (Updated June 15)

Hi Carl,

awesome job on the Permissive for the 900X S5 ROM. Quick question - I tried the file you attached with this Rom (AT&T S5 Rom Update 4), and it doesn't seem to work. Any clues? I installed the initd file, the SU file, the initd enabler, and the Permissive script (in that order). Worked on the 900X S5 Rom, but not on this one.

Verified that your correct, I did a factory reset , installed "AT&T S5 Rom Update 4"
and permissive script, did not take.

did another installer, it installs SuperSu,BusyBox, a Updated Script by ALEXNDR for init.d support and Walter.White SELinux Permissive script.

This should work for any ROM needing SELinux set to permissive.

Battery Life

Hello Friends,

This rom by far is the most stable S5rom for note 3 and my daily driver too. However i dont get a good battery life out of it like DK or Alliance . Any suggestions or help

Yes, it will work. I've used this ROM with the deep sleep fix in the past with good results.

some apps require SELinus set to permissive, also DEV or working on using it to side load custom kernels.

Facebook issue while updating status

Has anybody noticed or facing this issue with Facebook. I am not able to update my Facebook status with " What are you doing" options. NO matter what i select it does not display on my status. This happens whenever i download an S5 rom. Is any body having the same issue as mine. is there any fix.

I've notice my WiFi is glitchy at times while downloading pictures or updating on fb. It responds quicker off on 4g .

lock screen HELP

does anyone know how to fix the issue of the lock screen type not sticking. When i try to change to a pin lock or password...the phone nearly freezes and it goes right to swipe unlock instead of the one i picked. any suggestions???oh yea and i already tried adding the # to the build.prop

You need to edit the build.prop file.

Scroll down to "security.mdpp=None"
and change it too(just add the #):
"#security.mdpp=None"

4.4.4 rolling out for the Note 3.... Does this mean that @carl1961 porting the Note 4 ROM would be possible now ? You said something about it requiring a 4.4.4 bootloader... Or something like that ?

Is rom is amazing! Not ONE problem (always something wrong with Dynamic Kat) and the battery is great with 6 and a half hours with 10% remaining. Good job!
