So it seems this phone is still un-rootable? Very unfortunate... I have one here I need to root.
Hello Sir., I have been searching for days for a root process for i527 on 4.2.2 or 4.4.2 att. If you can please share a good procedure or steps to do this, it would really make my day.Hello community,
I know I have been off for quite a bit of time due to personal reasons that I'm not going to explain here.
It might be a little late, but here are the system, modem and recovery images for the i257 AT&T (4.2.2 UCUANB4).
For the ones who asked me what tools or methods did I use for rooting the phone, I used Kingo Root with an older version of the PDA which was vulnerable.
I might try to get it run on the phone but it seems that it blows some sort of fuse that doesn't allow to be flashed anymore....
I have rooted the system.img.ext4 and cache.img.ext4 but when I try to flash them through Odin it fails...I'm afraid this could be due to the locked bootloader or maybe I'm not doing it right, if so and someone has the time to root the cache or system img feel free to do so and I will be willing to try it out...
Cheers
The model that you are asking for is not for this forum. Saying that have you tried Kingo? I don't really recommend it but I read some people managed to root the Galaxy Mega with that tool.Hello Sir., I have been searching for days for a root process for i527 on 4.2.2 or 4.4.2 att. I used the latest version of Kingoroot yesterday, and rooted the phone just fine. Got rid of ATT's mobile hotspot and tethering restrictions, and removed a bunch of their bloatware. Now, though, I am trying to find a way to turn on wifi calling on this phone, which the ATT firmware seems not to allow.any success ?????
