So for the longest time I've run unnamed. Repeating the mantra in my head - "ROM MANAGER IS THE DEVIL" . All was/is good.
Recently moved to MIUI for a change of pace and lo and behold it came with RM. But still I never launch. Devil.
Recently installed CM7. WTF! Devil ROM MGR comes with it. So my question :
Is ROM Manager only the devil for Samsung based ROMs? Why is it included with MIUI/CM7? And lastly, what does it give me o er just really footing into CWM?
I don't see the value. What am I missing? Thanks for the reply.

Right. It seems to only work properly on CM7, and I'd guess MIUI as well since it's included. But for good practice, I still prefer not to use it. Works really well on HTC devices though.
It basically provides an easier way to flash with fewer button presses. For instance, it'll allow you to select a flashable zip, wipe prompts (if you want to wipe data, or only cache and dalvik), and it will launch the process. It flashes the zip for you, performs the actions, and automatically reboots. It's convenient, and gives you some recovery options in the app (like fix permissions).
