I work for a 3rd party call center and am working as a AT&T Customer Service/Zodiac Rep. AT&t just got done merging some Alltel, Verizon, and Unicell customers and what there doing for them is, Free comparable phones due to different tech(Im thinking T-mobile custs will keep their own phones). The migrated customers can cancel there service within thirty days from their att activation date with no etfs. After thirty days there contract from there legacy carrier goes into effect. AT&T is letting them keep there plans, for the most part. No unlim smartphone data or free or unlim tethering. They can keep their unlim data card plan though. Every one can upgrade from day one, and they get to keep their plans as long as they dont upgrade to a iphone.
It sound like its going to be simmilar for the T-mobile merger if it goes through. I love my T-mobile service and am not looking forward to the merger both as a Tmobile cust and having to work the merger....
