from firmware 8.0 GDR2 to nov. 2014 firmware

If you are running firmware 2424.13.5.1 (the one from 8.0 GDR2) with latest preview for developers version 8.10.14192.280 you are not offered an update, even if your region is ATO. But you will experience the camera (flash) bug. So for everyone who is eager to get the latest firmware 2424.14.9.3 I found a way to get it without(!) flashing back to 8.0 GDR2 and without losing data.
1.) Can anyone tell if my assumption that firmware updates are cumulative and not incremental is correct?
2.) I'd like to have a few confirmations if it works before making it public. Anyone willing to test it out with the risk of bricking the phone (no guarantees of any kind given) feel free to PM me - if you are not sharing the information. Prerequisites: Region ATO (or another one where the update is available), RPC unlocked

@abysmy2k: Out of random curiosity, was the problem similar to mine, as mentioned here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-phone-8/help/help-phone-recovery-t2953528? I've more-or-less given up on fixing that issue, and am now just waiting on new hardware that I ordered.

I was lucky: my 4-year-old HD7 still works and has my authenticator code on it. Well, one of them; I was able to get the other reset.
Idon't think it is. .. I'm getting the winload.efi issue, tried flashing on Win8 but the phone isnt recognised in the SDM tool... :(

I had the exact same issue like how you've described, try reinstalling the drivers using the "safe boot menu" and choose the unsigned drivers option.

that helped for me

You haven't got the files you used by any chance, do you? Is that available in SDM??

Thanks
