Are any of these N_01.100.00R versions suitable for AT&T devices? Does it improve battery life ?

Thanks
The N_01.100.00R radio works amazing well on US Atrix. Been using it for the last couple of months since I live in an area where I don't get decent 3G and this radio allows you to drop down to 2G. Lower speeds but I never miss a text or drop a call.

Do you have European version of Atrix? I'm using AT&T version across Europe with 36p.
I got UK T-Mobile using N_01.92.00R. Not happy with performance. The latest Euro radio is N_01.100.00R OrangeFR (there is also a UK version) which I have heard good things about but can find it or any UK radios for download. I don't know any reason to flash a radio written for US network rather than UK/Euro network.

The reason is that 36p works perfect in EU.
I believe many would work in other regions, but how well? One of the reasons networks get network-specific versions of phones is the network-specific radios. AT&T is a classic example. And they have a 4G network, there are no 4G networks in UK.

Uhhh, please inform yourself. Atrix doesn't support 4G. It's just the commercial name.
I know HSPA+. Sorry I forgot the quotation marks around "4G". Look, you think 36P will improve my signal on T-Mobile in UK maybe I'll try it. But I need to be a whole lot more confident that it will make a positive difference before I flash it.

I posted the N_01.100.00R radio in the other thread you posted in (in the Android development forum).

No problems here with this radio which I've been using for some time on giffgaff (O2 network).

I seem to recall that I tried the 36P and had some problems with reception with that one. May have been the 37P, however. It is a long time back now so can't remember too clearly.

Just please double check can you flash 36p to your Atrix.
What do you mean? I'm BL unlocked, installed Romracer's CWM and running Nottachtrix 1.3.1.

Thanks you very much. You think the europe radio is a better choice than the GB radio?

I mean, double check. Radio is like BIOS if you flash wrong one... you know.

It works fine for me and was definitely an improvement over the original radio which came with the phone.

As Zeljko1234 says, it is easy to flash radios using CWM. You may as well download them all and chop and change between them to see which works best for you.

Wow, you guys are awesome. I can't thank you both enough.

I'm new to the Atrix but I am totally hooked. I had a look at HTC 1X and Samsung Galaxy S3 and just thought there must be more capable Android devices available. And then I found the Atrix. When I get a chance I'm going to buy another one, new and unused, just in case I break/lose the one I have.

Thanks again for all the help.

I thought this would be something easy to find via search, but I've had no luck with the terms backup and radio...but I'm sure the info is out there. It seems someone in this thread would have the answer, and would be great if you could point me in the right direction.

I'm looking for a way to backup my current radio into a flashable .zip file, or is this even possible. I've had a great working phone for almost a year now on my current radio, but recently ran into GPS fix issues. I'm guessing it's hardware related, since it's worked great before on this radio. I'm getting 10-15 minutes to get a fix, then it drops after a few minutes. I've tried everything software related to no avail. Now I want to try to start flashing different radios, but want a sure way to return to this one if something goes wrong. Under settings, then 'base-band' it is blank, and does not show my current radio...been this way since I flashed CM7 a while back...so I'm not sure what radio I'm on or I would just download it so I could get it back easily.

I'm a little unclear if nandroid backups include your radio for sure, and don't want to restore a whole nandroid if I can just backup my current radio into a .zip file.

Anyone done this before, or know how to do it?

Thanks

Wow, no need for a BACKUP!

Switched to 37P radio, and got a lock on 10/10 sattelites in 3 seconds! I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't watch it happen 4 times in a row...instant locks! The longest time was 6 seconds.

P.S. - My phone now runs about 10 degress F warmer...but worth the performance for sure [not sure if it's related, I'm assuming it must be as it's the only thing I changed]. Something I'll keep an eye on, but very happy with the result for sure. I didn't realize it would make this much difference.

Just another big thank you to Zeljko1234 and Maringer. I have installed 1.100.00R_europe_retail and everything is working ok. No noticable improvement in call performance, still has the intermittent "1-bar problem" but wi-fi connection time is much quicker and the connections are generally slightly faster.
