I have used Samsung phones for the most part and usually the International Variant so I can root. As a result, I have never been able to get ENHANCED LTE and Wifi Calling on ATT (at least without flashing a custom MOD that is) - those services are normally reserved to ATT Branded Phones and I never buy ATT Phones because I want to be able to root.
But I can get both Enhanced LTE and WiFi Calling on my Pixel 3. When I went into settings I was really surprised to see that I have ENHANCED LTE and the ability to do WIFI CALLING on ATT. I could tell the Calls seemed better too - great quality with a crispness I have not heard on my Samsung Phones.
( except when I was able to flash special Mods created by TEKHD on my Samsung Phones, but to get that to work I also had to contact ATT support and give them an ATT IMEI number -- so they could provision my phone for those services.
I didn't have to do any of that on my UNLOCKED Pixel 3 -
anyway - I was surprised about this and thought I would share for other ATT Users who might be interested.
I guess I would also like to know if this is new for the Pixel 3 or was it like this for earlier versions of the Pixel on ATT? Anyone know?
