After purchasing my nexus 6 from the GPS, i wanted to activate my mobile insurance through ATT. After not being able to add it online (although the imei took during sim acitvation) , i started a chat session since the option wasnt available under my account. Initially they told me it was unavailable, but after several minutes of the rep searching and talking with higher ups, they were able to add the mobile insurance to the line.
It took about 20 minutes because i had to explain that the nexus 6 is offered from google/moto to work on att and should be available for insurance. The icing on the cake was when i said they were all SKU'd the same, unless ATT has a different version.
The rep agreed that all nexus 6 were the same, lol.
I do realize, *if* the time comes to use it, i WILL be getting an ATT "branded" nexus 6, but I can overcome that instead of paying over $600 for a new device.
Just done give up if they say no, it IS available for us and does give us piece of mind.
