Anybody know how ATT MOBILE TV Works? Does it work through a proxy or something where the user needs to have a paid account. I was trying to figure out if there was a way to get the channels simply by pluggin a URL into a streaming media player.

Mobile TV works off of a separate antenna on the phone that operates on the 700 MHz band. This antenna receives an encrypted digital broadcast that is later decrypted by the phone when the Mobile TV subscription is added onto your account. It uses NO data connection which is why it runs at 60fps at QVGA resolution.

Mobi TV is a subscription based service that is similar but runs off the data network at a low resolution and frame rate and therefore not as nice.

Since you're asking this in a Raphael forum I'm going to bet you want to know if there is a way to run Mobile TV on the Fuze. There is not currently. The hardware does not physically exist on the phone. It only currently works on the Vu, Incite, Access, and some POS LG we stopped carrying.

I hear that a separate device for receiving these broadcasts is in the works (similar to the GPS pucks) but no luck yet.

mobi tv comes with att fuze but no one has hacked it yet. hackers either are defeated or dont have a solution to get around the 5 minute time limit.

I think 'POS LG' would include the Vu also lol, I'm using it. i hate it. That other LG would probably be the Invision right? it looks like crap too. I lost faith in LG phones.

On an additional note, the Samsung Eternity is Mobile TV enabled as well. I think the Eternity is absolutely worth the money. It might look like an Omnia on crack withdrawal, but it really feels like a solid all around phone. :)

I'm praying for a Mobile TV (MediaFLO) enabled Fuze. I'm already a subscriber for this POS Vu.
