Audio quality in video recording between HTC's phones.

I know this has been asked a lot of times already and I think there is no fix for this in HTC Sensation (maybe Amaze 4G too I dont know, dont own an Amaze)..only work around is disabling stereo recording.

Is it a hardware issue or software? I've searched Evo3D on youtube and the audio quality is good on it. The same goes to HTC Titan, HTC's newest WP7 and Titan records in stereo..

So what gives?
