Australian Carrier OEM Unlock option?

I have an N950F that I got through Vodafone (Build#NMF26X.N950FXXU1AQI1, CSC: VAU/VAU/VAU). When I go into Developer Options, there is no setting for OEM Unlock. Not sure if it means that the phone isn't locked to Vodafone to start with or if I need that setting to flash TWRP and then Magisk? I know the bootloader is unlocked (Exynos model) but the OEM Unlock setting seems to be causing a lot of confusion, with some people having it and some not.
Does anyone with a N950F bought through an Australian carrier have the OEM Unlock option in Developer Options?
Telstra branded post paid plan, just had OEM unlock appear at 2:45am. This is definitely a time activation thing. I actually activated it at 2pm Friday afternoon a week ago but last Friday night flashed firmware and did a factory reset which was just after 2am. Now a week later after doing the factory reset I've checked at 2:45am (Saturday morning) to find the OEM unlock appear. So it was triggered 1 week exactly from factory reset, down to the hour.
N950F TEL/TEL/TEL.

Hope this helps.

To Add - I tried to flash TWRP lost night and that was okay. I decided to hold onto stock and just have TWRP and Magisk at this stage until other ROMS are a little less buggy. Flashed TWRP. flashed Magisk, setup phone again and then decided to do a backup in TWRP. When trying to go into TWRP got the message 'Only offical released binaries are allowed to be flashed' and then went into a soft brick. Had to restore phone to stock and now OEM unlock has disappeared again, In download mode FRP and OEM lock are both OFF. Tried to reflash TWRP and get the same message - 'Only offical released binaries are allowed to be flashed'

So the plot thickens.

Any other Telstra users have the same issue?

OEM Unlock appeared in developer settings 30/09 after phone switched on for the first time 19/09. Last flash (stock/Odin) was 24/09. Interesting.

TWRP installed/phone boots & working OK. Let's see how we go with root/custom rom...

Edit - And interestingly, after TWRP install (and wipe, obviously) & phone reboot, no OEM Unlock when developer settings enabled.

Extra edit - And upon attempting to boot back into TWRP, bootloop same as Andy in the posts above. Unable to reflash TWRP in download mode (same 'Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed' error).

Back to stock recovery/etc we go then...Who knows what Samsung have done/what they're playing at here & why they've done it, but frankly, they can eat a giant bag of dicks & wash them down with a **** shake.

got oem unlock by disabling and reinabling dev options :D

so i was reading on here that someone did this and it worked i tried it and it worked now my question is who is rooting and all that jazz because samsung told me that they now replace the batteries for 2 years so i was going to replace the battery at the end of the 1st year and then just before my warrenty finished replace it again so im kinda on the fence i love now that i can use substratum to theme and i have found a good ad blocker but the only thing i want really is debloat my phone of all the useless **** and unliminited texting like there is a bar on how much you can text before it converts to mms, send and received mms automatically, duel speaker mod and a good way to hibernate the apps like greenify but better since i think greenify on non root doesnt work so well

WTF, Samsung?
This seems like a massive bug to me. Why would you allow the user to unlock the bootloader but lock it again if they actually flash anything? That's not how unlocking works and I can't imagine this was actually their intention. I think the code for making the OEM Unlock option appear/disappear is buggy and is resetting the OEM Unlock when it shouldn't be, such as when you flash a custom recovery. Hopefully, they realise this (or someone reports the bug to them) and it's fixed in an update.

Just wanted to throw this out there for anybody interested, a trick that worked for me to get my oem unlock option back instantly, and it's as simple as using a time cheat. Just open developer options, disable the update phone option, then open time settings and set time forward to about 10-20 days. Reboot of it doesn't work straight away and voila :)

refer to this https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...701f-core-nxt-exynos-7870/remove-rmm-t3844927

it can help you unlock less than 5 minutes of your time.
