yes it does, I just locked my device which was unlocked using official app.

Hi, just wondering, normally how long will it take to do the Unlock step?
mine's been stucking there for quite a while, and my phone screen only shows the "Fastboot Mode!!!" stuff.

thx... so it just passed the Unlocking steps but stuck on the flashing Oreo step...
and I think I just bricked my phone.


just finished running Step 2(Unlock) and Step 5(Full-auto Root) successfully.
However, phone won't boot, always go dark after the ASUS logo.
And touch screen won't work when after entering TWR, all I can do is force a shutdown.
wish someone could help me, plz and thx*sigh*

Have you tried to press a button when it was stuck on "Oreo step"? That's not normal, because there isn't any pause/wait-for-user interaction.
Reboot in fastboot, then use "Lock bootloader" function. It'll restore oreo raw after flashing factory zip and relocking bootloader.
EDIT: Just re-analyzed the code, both the unlock/lock + reflash oreo does not have any pause/wait-for-user interaction. The user interaction is required only after the oreo raw flash, in order to format /data or not, depending on user's choice.
If you want to retry, please, make sure you have downloaded all files (factoryraw.zip + oreoraw_ze552kl.zip) and you put these files into their respective folders.

ty but I've tried the script on 3 different computer with Win7/Win10 with ASUS cable, none of them worked correctly...
I've done rooting manually according to what the functions the script called though

OTA update should work without problems.
When a new raw comes out, I'll change the download link in the tool.

Edit: Still didn't manage to unlock bootloader using this tool, but i managed to unlock bootloader using the ASUS unlock tool someone posted on XDA. Installing TWRP and Magisk was a breeze using this tool and worked perfectly. Thank you for the amazing tool!

But the factory Oreo Flashing didn't work.!

I downloaded and did everything.

The device didn't boot.
Anyway it did lock my boot loader.

I went to fastbot to use ZenFone flash tool to flash a newer RAW (7.0) file I had.

The process failed in the final moment.
But clearing cache and factory reset made it boot into 7.0 version

Downloaded the official firmware from ASUS website and updated via MicroSD

Anyway thank you so much

Dude, don't quote the whole OP.
Anyway, the tool will automatically download factory and oreo raw.
If connection drops, download will be canceled.
