Not working for me. After step 8 when doing the unlock it says:

(bootloader) OEM unlock is not implemented
OKAY [ 0.000s]
finished. total time: 0.000s

When I go to step 9 it asks for my unique id # yet it never displayed one. Any ideas? I am on 2.3.4-4.5.91 and am rooted. Just need to unlock.

edit - i'm an idiot. Hold volume UP. Not down. I've been reading so many instructions for root, unlock, etc. that I confused myself.

I'm already unlocked... So I'm trying to root...

Following the steps after it installs the internet sharing patch, the root, when it tries to RM some file/folders, it says they don't exist.

So I finished the installation, downloaded the superuser from market. And it force closes. So I'm not rooted. Can anyone gimme a hint?

Just wondering, but is it possible to use this program to root my phone, but not install CWM? I've been reading into the CWM types and the Tenfar that is used here is said to be the least stable of them all. My shiny new Atrix is still on it's way here, but I wanted to have an idea because rooting is the first thing that is going to happen after activation

When I used this the script didn't blow out the install-recovery.sh file so that the stock android recovery would just reload on reboot. You should be able to not install it anyway, just don't select that option. As far as recovery apps go, romracer's CWM is really good.

Yeah, that's the one I want to install. Apparently, it's the official recovery for the Atrix CM7 team and is supposedly quite stable. Can't wait for the post office to deliver my Atrix. I'm itching to root it and get everything up and running.

Ok, so just finally got through the process of getting my unlocked, had the Failed to load issue and finally got it resolved, went into the Root/CWM menu and almost all of Step #9 gave me Error: Device Not Found.

I donwloaded superuser and it needs me to flash a update bin file. Is this normal or do I need to attempt root again?

Nevermind, I figured out what I did wrong. Is there any specific way to make sure that the hotspot/tethering patch has worked?

Will his script work for a bell Atrix with 2.3.4 OTA update from bell or is there another method?

My phone is unlocked with Telus sim and rooted.

PLEASE PLEASE I attempted to do this, but when the screen came up to the fastboot selection screen I waited too long (5 seconds) and it entered the RSD thing I guess... But then it froze and nothing happened, so I took out the battery and I put it back in. It went to the same thing as before, but this time when I select Fastboot nothing happens... It wont put up the tag "Starting Fastboot protocol support" or anything like that... Even when I press the power button to select fastboot. Nothing's happening! Pleeeease help! I really can't lose this phone :(

EDIT: Alright, I got Starting Fastboot protocol support to show up... But now what? It's telling me to turn off my phone while holding the volume up button, but no matter how long I hold down that button with the power button, nothing happens... Sorry, I'm really panicking right now...

EDIT 2: I really don't know what to do. I regret doing this so much, I didn't realize that it would be all that difficult. If there's any way I can solve this, I really need to know. Until now, I'm probably going to go to bed right now, and just leave everything as it is... Please please help me with this. I'm afraid to close any of the programs on my pc at risk of messing something up. ffffffffffffffffff WHY DID I DO THISSSS

When my phone went into a some type of softbrick I found that pulling the battery, reinstalling it and just holding the power button itself brought up a menu, try different button combinations.

Sent from my MB860 using XDA App

Alright...? Now I have a different problem... My phone aparently ran out of batteries overnight, and now It wont turn on unless its plugged directly into the wall. I don't think the battery's charging either. If I try to turn it on when the usb is plugged into the computer, the led will just flash green once, but it wont turn on.

EDIT: Just to add something, I left it in the wall charger for a few hours, then came back to it and plugged the usb into the computer. All it told me was that there wasn't enough battery to flash, and the phone still will only turn on when plugged into the wall socket.

I am so confused right now :S
