Are you guys able to download the program and get it to run on your pc successfully?

I tried downloading the file for the program via my Atrix (internet is out at home). It downloads but when move it to my pc to extract the zip file it says "file is either missing or damaged"

Is the link no longer working? Am I doing something wrong?

Just a forewarning:

Using this to unlock my bootloader was unsuccessful. Unable to flash supplied recovery file through RSD ("unable to boot" message), ended up losing all my data after flashing pudding to fix.

Use the method on brief mobile to unlock, wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy easier.

In order to reroot and gain SU after flashing pudding, the program in the zip was successful. I recommend that.

Just my experience and opinion

For 2.3.4? Also can you link the method you recommend? I saw something on Brief Mobile but the links were dead.

Alright guys, so I found a way to charge my battery successfully. Now, what should I do to fix my Atrix? Should I select option 3 or just do option 1 again and skip all the steps until I reach the fastboot part?

EDIT: Well, I found out what to do and I'm pretty much at the crossroads here... I got to the part where I can boot it in fastboot, but it appears in red lettering "Unlocking your device may VOID your warranty". Now, I need to know what I should do... Would I have better luck going to AT&T and trading in for a new phone and not risk messing it up any further, or should I just go ahead and boot it into fastboot and hope it works afterwards?

TL;DR I'm asking if AT&T would refuse to give me a new one since it since it says "0x100 failed to boot blah blah blah" and gives you all the boot options.

This is exactly what happened to me and exactly what I was talking about in my previous post. Use the brief mobile link to unlock your boot loader. The method in this thread is not universal.

Mythic- what you need to do is flash pudding using recovery... you can find the file in the sticky thread. This will get you back to a 2.3.4 build. From there, simply use the DOS program included in this thread's zip to gain root. Its straightforward and has directions on how to do it when you open the program. Once you do this, install super user apk and enable it.

Then go to http://briefmobile.com/how-to-unlock-the-atrix-4g-bootloader and use the method there to unlock. Then, at this point, download Rom manager and install the latest recovery build. From there, head over to the cm7 thread, download the zip, and flash it in recovery.

That's it.

Edit : just in case it wasnt clear, the latest recovery build can be found and installed through Rom Manager. This is essentially one step.

This version of recovery can be accessed without having to be plugged into the wall, and is required to flash cm7.

I hope you made a backup with titanium backup before you did all this.. I didn't and lost all my data.

So wait, how do I flash pudding? I've just unlocked my bootloader, and now I'm kind of lost as to what file I'm supposed to download in the pudding thread, and how I'd go about flashing it... Sorry for the large amount of questions, I didn't exactly plan for this :(

Read the first page of this thread. Scroll to the bottom and the OP gives you 3 options to try if you get that message. I believe the first option worked for me.

Ill post the file when I get off of work. I'd rather take a look on my comp instead of giving you the wrong file from my phone

Thanks just a few quick questions. In the comments someone says not to skip to step 13 and others say you'll hard brick if you're on 2.3.4 and you do steps 1-12. So should I skip to step 13 after I root? Is that what you did? Also did you use the DOS file in this topic to root? It seems like a quick and painless method.

ETA: A lot of people are saying that this doesn't work. I'm getting my phone back from Moto this week. Do you know if there's been any updates that may stop this from working?
