Alright guys, so I found a way to charge my battery successfully. Now, what should I do to fix my Atrix? Should I select option 3 or just do option 1 again and skip all the steps until I reach the fastboot part?
EDIT: Well, I found out what to do and I'm pretty much at the crossroads here... I got to the part where I can boot it in fastboot, but it appears in red lettering "Unlocking your device may VOID your warranty". Now, I need to know what I should do... Would I have better luck going to AT&T and trading in for a new phone and not risk messing it up any further, or should I just go ahead and boot it into fastboot and hope it works afterwards?
TL;DR I'm asking if AT&T would refuse to give me a new one since it since it says "0x100 failed to boot blah blah blah" and gives you all the boot options.
This is exactly what happened to me and exactly what I was talking about in my previous post. Use the brief mobile link to unlock your boot loader. The method in this thread is not universal.
Mythic- what you need to do is flash pudding using recovery... you can find the file in the sticky thread. This will get you back to a 2.3.4 build. From there, simply use the DOS program included in this thread's zip to gain root. Its straightforward and has directions on how to do it when you open the program. Once you do this, install super user apk and enable it.
Then go to
http://briefmobile.com/how-to-unlock-the-atrix-4g-bootloader and use the method there to unlock. Then, at this point, download Rom manager and install the latest recovery build. From there, head over to the cm7 thread, download the zip, and flash it in recovery.
That's it.
Edit : just in case it wasnt clear, the latest recovery build can be found and installed through Rom Manager. This is essentially one step.
This version of recovery can be accessed without having to be plugged into the wall, and is required to flash cm7.
I hope you made a backup with titanium backup before you did all this.. I didn't and lost all my data.
