automatic wifi

Hello,

My wife revieved her S4 mini a few days ago.
I installed her old simcaed becuse her new one isn't active yet.
I filled in all the stuff needed such as google account and set up her whatsapp and wifi in our home.
I disabled the data because she hasn't got that on her old sim.
Last sunday we went and visited our mothers.
After about half an hour after we got at my mothers house she recieved a whatsapp.
She picked up her phone and said: Hey i'm connected to wifi here.
Same thing happend to her at her mother house a few hours later.
How is this possible without filling in the wifi passwords?

This never happend to me and my S4.
I had to set the passwords to al wifi points all over again every time.

Does google store wifi settings ( I never heard of that) or is it stored on the simcard ( i thought it was stored on the phone).

There is a function in gapps that they store wifi settings YES

i got the question asked by google when i install a new rom (example cm11)

it's probably also to be found seperately to change in the "google settings" app :good: (i don't know where, maybe even in the "google+" section)

The WiFi passwords are stored on the android devices in the wpa_supplication.conf configuration file.
