For the bluetooth you are good.
Before you install the PX5, update the MCU otherwise the card wont work.
KBT MTCE V3.30 is the latest i think.
Yes, i have the malasyk or the hal9k, i don't remember exactly, but it is rooted.
So, i should flash the v3.30 MTCE KBT MCU, and then install the new board?
It is rooted because thats the way Malaysk does it.
Install v.3.30 whether you upgrade or not - its always best to run the latest MCU, remember to go into factory settings and press "export" this will get your mcu.cfg, flash this with the new MCU, its a file that memorises your MCU settings.
No more lag!
Finally we have an option to upgrade our sluggish RK3188 limited by the 1gb of ram.

I would buy this in a heart beat but I already have a Joying Intel 2gb...
I do have one of those, PX5, 4GB RAM + 32GB Flash with Android 6.
I bought it to upgrade my Android head unit which came with a PX3 2+16 CPU card. It turns out I like the launcher that came with my radio better...
The PX5 is a better product but to me, the differences are down to personal preference.
It might as well benefit somebody, it's doing me no good sitting in a drawer (still in the original bag)
Here is my review and comparison of the two boards:

I am in the US, price is $40 + shipping. UPS is $8.00.
If interested, email me at [email protected] for more info.
Thank you for the replay! Unfortunately the 40$ board is out of stock ... Not having the patience to wait for them to restock (if ever) and knowing that shipping from USA to Romania (where I live costs a small fortune) i ordered the 114$ WITSON Android 9.0 PX5 4G RAM +64GB Flash Coreboard For Android DVD gps unit from aliexpress. Hope I'll manage to install it and get it working. My 2Gb px3 is slow as hell and annoys the hell out of me every time I try to do something else than listen to music on it. Once I'll start the upgrade process (probably a month from now when it will get shipped) I'll post back the results!

What MCU should I choose if im now using Hal9k Nougat?
Ok, i thought there was some sort of compatibility that i may not be aware of so looking for someone to point me in the right direction. But thanks!
Right, figured it out. It's the dmcu.img file. Found the folders for all the MCUs.
Can bus has nothing to do with that.
The car cuts the 12v acc then the head unit starts sleep procedures..
Some cars cut the 12v when you take the key out, some other when you open the door, some even have a delay. It depends on how you wire your head unit.
MTCD_HA_V1.53_1
5.1.1
Is it possible to upgrade my radio to px5?
Do I need to do something more than place the new core board?
Thank you!
