Avoid the Verizon Curved Tempered Glass Display Protector

I just received my new Galaxy S8 from Verizon along with the Verizon branded "Curved Tempered Glass Display Protector 1-Pack" I ordered.

My initial install I go to pull the film off the back of the screen protector, and the sticky stuff that holds it in place peels off the screen protector and is stuck to the plastic film. The sticky stuff is basically a fine piece of adhesive tape barely around the edge of the glass screen protector. Off to Verizon I go.

The Verizon store replaces the screen protector for me and offers to install the replacement for me. I probably should have said no, but I let them do it. I have not even activated the phone yet at this point, but I go back to my work place and the screen protector is already lifting on the bottom and bottom left corner. Also the Verizon employee left me a finger print under it.

The screen protector clicks whenever I touch the bottom right corner where the lift is. What a waste of $35, avoid this garbage. I'm going to order the Invisible Defender screen protector.

Update 5/10/17
I activated my S8 today and got it set up. The touch response with this screen protector is horrible. I have to more often than not press very firmly on the screen for it to recognize I'm touching a letter or swiping the screen.

Just got this too. Terrible terrible accessory. I couldn't even get my touches to go through (like I had to press down hard to type a single letter. It's pathetic and a waist of 20$

I never used my S8 before having the screen protector installed. I'm amazed by how smooth the phone responds to touch once I took the Verizon tempered glass protector off. I didn't know just how much worse the Verizon protector made everything compared to not having anything on it.

I bought an Invisible Defender to at least help avoid scratches for now. The Invisible Shield is the thin film style protector with wings that wrap around the sides to help hold it to the phone better. It wasn't the easiest thing to install, but hopefully it'll hold up until someone perfects a tempered glass protector. The touch response is the same as if not having anything on the screen.
