The attached screenshot shows the results of download speed tests that I have done when I set out for several walks around the U of I campus (in the Champaign-Urbana, IL area) to map out LTE coverage using Sensorly. I ran multiple speed tests (using the same app) along the way, and the Band 4 LTE download speed from one of the tests has topped close to 100 Mbps (as indicated in the screenshot). However, in some ways, I think the Band 4 LTE coverage is a joke. In the part of campus where I live, only Band 13 LTE is available, whereas most other parts of campus have Band 4 LTE.

Band 4

I enabled Band 4 LTE about 5 months ago, On my way to work I pass Birmingham, AL (has band 4 LTE)

If i manually swithch it to band 4 i am able to use the data @ about 65mbps, but my phone will not automatically switch into Band 4 LTE

is it possible to have it automatically switch to band 4 when it sees it, but still keep connectvity to 3g( for voice calls)??

if i leave it in band 4 LTE preferred and travel through the next city it loses connectivity... im on 4.3 n900vvrubmI9.

Thank you!

So I'm on nc2 deodex with nc4 modem I notice my phone works better when I turn band 4 off because it's not available in my area but when I reboot it goes back to enabled. Anyone know how to make it stick?

Can anyone help me with what the stock settings are in the service ode menu for

LTE band is it automatic?
Then for LTE settings is it CDMA LTE or is it wcdma /hdr/lte/
And band for LTE is it set to all?

I've been Google ing and nothing found. If someone can check theirs that would be great, thanks

Just so you all know. As a general statement, Band 4 requires more power because its frequency is not nearly as good inside a building. Thus more power needed to hit the tower.

Obviously...there are situations where it uses less power. ..such as when you are outdoors and near the tower. The full rollout of the aws (band 4) will take a while, just as full rollout of LTE took a while

So I'm running Beans NC2 I'm able to change with Efs folder to ON but when I try to dial any of the numbers it just says welcome to Verzion wireless and your update could not be completed. Not sure what I'm doing wrong to get this enabled, any help?

I had the same problem. I flashed the NC4 Jasmine rom and dial codes work for me again.
