I literally just opened my Nook HD+ fresh out of the box tonight. I was trying to get Google Play store onto it for my parents, but then it automatically updated to 2.0.5 and beeped at me without any prompting. Just a few hours later and it's now trying to update to 2.0.6.I noticed Software Update 2.0.6 on the B&N HD+ Support page...has anyone tried it out yet?

Yes, I purposely updated to see if my cwm zips still work. They do. So you can still do everything as noted in my HD/HD+ CWM thread.I noticed Software Update 2.0.6 on the B&N HD+ Support page...has anyone tried it out yet?

Good to know--thanks for the info! I'll try it myself later tonight.Yes, I purposely updated to see if my cwm zips still work. They do. So you can still do everything as noted in my HD/HD+ CWM thread.
Edit: The white-on-white repair does not work on 2.0.6. Don't use it.

So if I already have the white-on-white repair and I get updated to 2.0.6, will I be in trouble?Yes, I purposely updated to see if my cwm zips still work. They do. So you can still do everything as noted in my HD/HD+ CWM thread.

Do you have to reinstall them? I have gapps+ extras if I update will I need to reflash it?Yes, I purposely updated to see if my cwm zips still work. They do. So you can still do everything as noted in my HD/HD+ CWM thread.

To answer the question so others know. You only lose root with the update to 2.0.6. All others (except white-on-white) remain.Do you have to reinstall them? I have gapps+ extras if I update will I need to reflash it?
EDIT: Nevermind, I tried it and all seems well, no re installation needed
Play Store stopped for you?All apps continued to work (except Play Store) even before I reflashed the CWM zips.
Yes, the same way we came up with 2.0-2.0.5. You can do it manually(recompile) it, or just wait for leapinlar and he will post one at the usual place.Any way to modify the white-on-white fonts in 2.06 rooted?
No, it will replace it. But from others I think the update will fail if you have the white on white installed. It will stay at what you have.So if I already have the white-on-white repair and I get updated to 2.0.6, will I be in trouble?
Yes, I will do it when I get time and post it. But be aware of the new issue if you do, any update in the future will fail. You will have to restore a backup that you made before the white on white was installed. Then it will update.Any way to modify the white-on-white fonts in 2.06 rooted?
Thanks in advance for the effort - IMHO, a fix is worth some pain as some apps/websites are near useless without a fix.No, it will replace it. But from others I think the update will fail if you have the white on white installed. It will stay at what you have.

Yep. It is looking for the unmodified framework-res.apk. Restore your backup. If it has not been that long ago, just selectively restore /system. You may have to flash some of the zips again later. The update fails for me and I have the wonw fix that's the reason?
Hmm, how to remove without major disruption...

I now have a modified 206 update zip linked in my CWM thread that will install over any version, even if you have previously installed the white on white repair. The update fails for me and I have the wonw fix that's the reason?
