B&N Versions Question

I have a Nook HD with the Dual boot stock and CM10.1 hybrid sd card installed and working great! Thanks for the work you guys do for us! I see my Nook HD is also still on B&N ver 2.0.4. Is that ok? Should I expect any problems staying on this version? Should I let it update? Will updating to 2.0.6 cause any issues? Is there a way to block auto updating or is that not recommended? Mine is still on 2.0.4 because I don't usually use the wifi while I'm booted to B&N mode. More than one question I guess.

2.0.4 is ok to keep. But if you use it very long with wifi on, it will update to 2.0.6 and you will lose root. But you can get root back by reflashing the universal root. If you want to stay on 2.0.4, you can block it semi-permanently by flashing the white-on-white zip. That has the side benefit of crashing the update when it tries. But you will have a hard time ever updating if you want to. If you decide to flash the white on white, make a backup with CWM first so you can go back to how you are now so it will update if you want. Of course you may have already done the w-w zip so you are already blocked.

Thanks for the info! I haven't done the w-w zip. I didn't even know what it was until today and did a little research. I'll take your advice on it, though, should I feel the need.

Thanks again!
