Hi sorry, too lazy to read the whole thread. I just got a LG G5 with a B&O module. My pc won't recognize it at all but it works totally fine on the fone. I have plugged in the headphone and that doesn't make any difference. I'm connecting with a standard usb 2 to usb 3 cable, on windows 7. Am I doing something wrong here? I bought the unit off ebay so it could possibly be faulty.

Edit: I have installed the pc software for it.
Sorry to ask a silly question, but have you got both parts (looks like another part of the B&O unit? When you plug it into another phone, you'll need whatever USB connector the phone has, but connect it to the TOP part, NOT the chin! Likewise, if you want to connect to a PC, then you'll need a USB to USB-C connector.... I've never tried it on a PC using USB-C to USB-C.... only the older square USB as my newer laptops already have B&O. :)

Hi, thanks for that but ya your right and I do realize that by now : ) I bought mine second hand and the seller had lost the cap. I didn't think it was important at the time

BTW I can't find a cap anywhere if anyone would like to sell one to me I'd be grateful. Impossible to get anywhere online I've given up looking.

Every now and then that "silly question" isn't so silly :) Glad I asked!

Sorry - keeping mine - the cap is essential: if you don't have it, the only place it will ever work will be on the end of a G5... with it, I can use it for output from my laptop, tablet, spare phones (that I use as media players around the house). I stopped using the B&O chin on the phone as it makes it just that annoying bit too long, but I still use it as a DAC every day.

I don't mind the extra length especially as I only really use the dac at home when I'm wearing my big cans - (Phillips Fidelio X2).

Actually the reason I wanted to use it with my PC is because initially I wasn't that impressed with it on the G5 because it wouldn't work with Viper4Android equalizer but since then I'm managed to get Dolby Atmos working which is quite good. Initially I had though using standard output jack with V4A was better than the B&0 unit but I've since realized that was wrong. I managed to get high-impedance mode working with my cans, a kind of hack because the X2's cans aren't high impedance - but it sounds much better with the high Impedance output I find.

So, problem with Oreo update. After I flash Magisk it stops working altogether except the external speaker. Anyone experiencing same issue. Btw I have a second phone still on Noughat and my dac still works fine on that.

Flahsed mk2000 kernel which solved issue.

This is where I got my PC driver for the AFD1200 (a ZIP file), it extracted and installed OK on my PC.

I've now got a Raspberry Pi Zero W that I want to use as a streaming node with the Hi Fi plus DAC but it isn't recognised.
Has anybody managed to achieve this and how it was done? Thank you
