Bad microSD card?

So I bought a 64GB microSD card but I think it might be bad?

When I download a ROM and check the MD5 on my desktop, everything matches up. However, if I transfer it to my sd card and then check the MD5 again, its wrong. This only applies to my external sd, if I move it to the internal storage, the MD5 checks out. Furthermore, my TWRP backups that I create on to the external sd always fail restore and the phone is unable to boot from it unless I reinstall the ROM fresh. Kind of an annoyance making my sd card useless....

Is this a problem with my actual card, or something else?

Did you format the card in phone?

If it's new and you can, I'd return it. Don't take chances.

Would suck if it were a chinese knockoff remarked card. They do that. Take a 4gb card and remark them and crap.

What brand is the card and where did you get it from?

I have a bad SanDisk 64 gig I got from Walmart that don't format or erase anything . If you have that brand take it back asap I had my card for 3 months before it messed up.

I've had my SanDisk 64GB for over a year and it still works.
