Ok to flash the modem it does work properly power down your phone I removed the battery to make sure it was off using the reboot into odin/ dowload mode wont work.Power down pull the battery to make sure its off hold volume down+home+power to manually boot into odin/download mode..I used odin 3.07 I unchecked auto reboot then select PHONE not pda or anything else.Once it writes you will see info on your phone screen showing you it wrote to it.I unplugged it pulled the battery then powered it back on worked the first time. You may be able to leave auto reboot checked.I had no issues updating prl or profile. As freeza said make sure the phone is powered down the "restart into odin mode wont work"..Again thank you freeza you deliver the goods again kind sir.

Working like a champ Thanks Freeza:highfive:flashed with fre3 hybrid beta 2 v5 - works great.
everything seems to be connected fine - i run through multiple data zones on my commute to work, can test connection more then.
I tried flashing this twice (with Odin 1.85), but after both tries my phone still shows the NAB version baseband in the settings. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong. Here's the NC5 baseband modem. Flashable through Odin.
Recommended steps:
-Unplug your phone from the computer (if plugged in)
-Completely power down your phone
-Boot into download mode (VOLDOWN+Power+Home)
-Plug your phone into the computer
-Flash baseband

I could be incorrect but to my knowledge you can't use it by just flashing the baseband/modem. You need to be running a nc5 rom.quick question - how do you activate wifi calling?
I had to flash twice for it to stick but make sure your running the latest drivers or try using a newer version of Odin.I tried flashing this twice (with Odin 1.85), but after both tries my phone still shows the NAB version baseband in the settings. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong.
You have to get an updated odin just google newest odin for note 3. I think its 3.0.9 or something like that.I tried flashing this twice (with Odin 1.85), but after both tries my phone still shows the NAB version baseband in the settings. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong.
Yup. Local tower issues in your area will use that (I think).Everything was working just fine and all of a sudden I'm getting disgustingly slow 4GLTE speeds... Like barely a kb/sec and it keeps giving me the message in a big toast message on my screen saying "REPORTNG FIRMWARE VERSION TO THE SERVER" UGH what gives, anyone else having this problem

So i havent made the jump yet to NC5 but i want to but before i do i was wondering what people thought of the new modem/baseband ive kind of gotten mixed feelings about it and was wondering if it is worth the never returning jump from NABD. I know that its mostly depending on area and stuff but any input would be appreciated Thanks in andvanceYup. Local tower issues in your area will use that (I think).
Try going into airplane mode for a few minutes, and toggle back. Might help get a lock on your local.
Speeds come back swiftly, either by doing that or waiting a day.

I would not go back to NAB(D), because the WiFi calling alone is gold. My modem is better than it has ever been, and so is the battery life.So i havent made the jump yet to NC5 but i want to but before i do i was wondering what people thought of the new modem/baseband ive kind of gotten mixed feelings about it and was wondering if it is worth the never returning jump from NABD. Well, I did a full wipe and install of NABD after updating to NC5D because I can't read and I was sent a link to NABD stockish zip instead of NC5D stockish zip [emoji6]... I fresh flashed it and after booting up I wondered what happened to my wi-fi calling option... Then looking in the "about device" menu revealed what a bonehead I was... Oops.. All good now tho. The same guy hooked me up with a link to the NC5D stockish zip I was originally looking for .... So I guess you could say that in the NC5D engineering bootloader you can (at least I did) go back to an NABD ROM. I didn't, however, go back to the NABD modem.... And wouldn't.I would not go back to NAB(D), because the WiFi calling alone is gold. My modem is better than it has ever been, and so is the battery life.
I do think that you can go back to NAB(D) with the open bootloader Unlike MJ4-to-NAB(D), this one is intra-OS, though I know of no one whom has tried.
I highly recommend making the jump, but to each his/her own.
