I gave up trying to find batteries that weren't fakes, eventually just bought one on eBay from an honest seller that acknowledged it and didn't claim it was 'genuine'.

This battery is listed as compatible with my i9195 but when it arrives, the top corners (black plastic, terminal end) don't match up.

I can cut it with a knife to make it fit -- does anyone know what that actually electrical difference (if any) I risk by doing this?

I can provide photos if necessary, but since lots of eBay sellers seem to point out this difference so it must be a known thing. What's the difference between the two shapes of battery?

Thanks

I have owned this smartphone since 2014 (2x GT-I9195i and 2x GT-I9195) and believe me I have tested all those other batteries and have always come back with this type (B500BE) because this battery is simply the best
