Battery Level stuck at 5%

I had been on the Pixel 3 OEM Android 11 build for a few weeks when the battery percentage stuck at 5%. Totally full? Reads 5%. Just about to shut down from lack of battery? Still reads 5%.

Any suggestions as to how to fix it? Or what it could be? I have restarted several times.

The obvious next step would be backup, and factory reset! Apparently, many more pixel owners have reported a similar issue in the google support forum and Reddit. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-e&q=pixel+battery+stuck

Doing nothing FTW (for the win). After a dozen reboots from powering off not knowing the real battery charge it now measures properly.

same here and I have the Dirty Unicorn rom, I just got this issue randomly without doing something on my phone, it smells like a dirty´s google work here
