Turning off location server gonna shave off few % of battery consuming I suppose

I've got location services and GPS on with the always scanning option under wifi advance setting off.

Interesting. I have the always scan option off as well. Battery has been good, but here are my stats with only 1.25 hours of screen time. Google Services been awake pretty much the entire time.

Gah. Not sure what advice to give. Is your GPS off? not sure if having it off might make the location services work more or something? Totally uneducated guess

That's what mine looked like before turning off the always on setting fwiw. I had services off and only turned them back on today. Could also try switching off and back on maybe

Seven hours of screen time?!! You've got to be kidding me!!! My Galaxy S3 barely would hit 3 and 1/2 hours. With kernels, lowering cpu and voltage. This is amazing. With all the bloatware etc. LOVEEEEEE.

Can anyone explain to me what the "turn off pen detection" option does?

It says that turning this off can save battery life. So does that mean I check the box or uncheck the box?

Here is what I have disabled and settings I use:

- Wifi on when I am at home, and Keep Wifi on during sleep enabled
- NFC off
- S Beam off
- GPS / Location Services Off (if I ever need to use maps etc I just flick it on for a second)
- Multiwindow On
- Voice Control off
- Air Gestures off
- Air View on
- Air command on
- Motions off
- Palm Motion off
- Power saving mode on

I would really like to see what @theonedub settings are. I think if I would have taken down to 1% battery I could have hit 8 hours, but I want to know what features he has enabled so I know what I can turn back on if they aren't affecting battery life. I am going to try a run as soon as this is charged without power saving mode on and see what happens.

*Edit: I was also using autobrightness in most cases, sometimes raising it but usually leaving it set.

When those stats were pulled I was using a light blue background with auto brightness on. I'm using pretty much the same settings as jokesonme except I am not using power saving features until 20% where it's set to turn on automatically (haptic disable & limit CPU speed only).

I've disabled all the bloat I could using 'disable' from the stock app manager. Only using stock TW.

Keep posting guys. And post your settings too. I would love to see how features like voice command and air view.. Etc affect our battery life.

I have auto brightness on at all times. And all of the features off except air view, smart stay and power saving.

I want to keep GPS and Loc Services off but need them for weather widgets it didn't seem like having GPS on affected much, as it only kicked on when weather info was being pulled or when asking google when some place closes or where the closest something is.

Instead of your phone constantly looking for the presence of your pen, it only looks for it when its taken out of the phone for things like when you walk off without it, it'll beep at you saying you're leaving the pen behind. Believe this is accurate.

I've gotten around 7.5 hours with about 10% battery life left, but today I'm at 58% with an hour and 48 minutes of screen on time -_-. I feel like I'm back on my S4. Overnight it only dropped 3-4% while idle, so I'm a bit confused. My usage habits from yesterday to today did not change at all: texting, a few phone calls (2 mins each), internet browsing, and viewing PDFs.
