I feel like I have something in the background or something. Or maybe it's an app I installed, but I am at 46% and my screen on time is 2 hours. And it's been on for about 11 hrs. How do you disable bloatware? I have location/gps off and a lot of things are similar with most of the people on here. So I don't get what is wrong.

I've gotten around 7.5 hours with about 10% battery life left, but today I'm at 58% with an hour and 48 minutes of screen on time -_-. I feel like I'm back on my S4. Overnight it only dropped 3-4% while idle, so I'm a bit confused. My usage habits from yesterday to today did not change at all: texting, a few phone calls (2 mins each), internet browsing, and viewing PDFs.
I didn't read this before, but this is just like me. My first day, I had like 6 hrs of screen on time, but today I'm at 2 hours with less than 50% left on battery life. I'm so confused cut I haven't changed my usage. If anything I was on my phone less today to see how much I'll have left at the end of the day.

One thing to note is that if you have bad signal, your battery will suffer. Being on wifi will help a lot.

The weird thing is, I was in a full LTE signal area all day, whereas I wasn't yesterday. I wasn't on wifi either day. Looks like I'm going to pick through my local store's N3 stock just like I had to with the S4 :(. No rooting for me yet.

Oh hmm. I'm still trying to find the best settings myself.

If I disable the wifi scanning, does that mean it won't auto connect to my work and home wifi when I come within range of them?

No, I have it disabled and my saved WiFi networks will still connect automatically. I believe it just stops the Wifi radio from constantly searching for WiFi networks even when the radio is disabled.

I did slightly better today. It's been off the charger for 11 hours and 3 hours of screen time @ 50%, still nowhere near the time I had the first few days.

Agreed 100%, my first two posts were 7 hours screen time with about 16 hours total and still 15% left.

Currently I'm at (below images). Not the best.. I am rooted now yes. I'm going to use this last 40% and run either music with the screen on or video for the rest and see what I end up with for screen on. I'll report back

Update:

This is with power saving off until the last 20%. With my earlier screenshot I thought I would end up with bad stats.. These aren't too bad. Also from 40% to 2% I left the screen on and looping a song on poweramp the entire time. Brightness a little under 50%. Update new stats tomorrow night with power save on.

My battery life hasn't changed much other than my usage. The last few days I have been in terrible wifi and cellular signal for extended periods of time. I usually get 3.5 to 4 hours of on screen time before I hit 55%. The last few days it's been 2.5 to 3% instead.

So how much more battery did having power saving on saved you?

Wtf?!?! 10 hour screen time? What are your exact settings? Lol.

I had mostly every battery drainer turned off. I mostly kept the phone screen on in between texting. If I turned it off after every text I probably could have gone around 3 days with maybe 5 hours of screen time.

I definitely don't try too hard to conserve battery. I freeze almost all of the AT&T and Samsung bloat, but I leave the screen on max brightness and just let it sit and stream 1080p content with flash on dolphin browser while I'm at work.

I'll get a little over 5 hours of battery life while it powers through the day. Hoping to get a ZeroLemon 10000mah batter once they're available to that I can make it through the entire day.
