Wow. Great news.![]()
Damn fine if you ask me. Better than my note 4. I'm surprised as hell. I never believe the improved efficiency and optimization stuff but somethings working.

That's probably just somebody who watched a movie for 2 hours.Wow. Great news.
I charged overnight so it's reset. I can post that this eveningWow. Great news.
What apps do you have installed/downloaded and which ones did you disable? Do you have all the Spen stuff enabled?
Can you show a screenshot of your apps battery usage?
No movies here dude. And you don't have to come in here and defend your note 4. Still have one myself. Just trying to show some battery life stats for people that are considering the 5. If that's not you then please move on.That's probably just somebody who watched a movie for 2 hours.
I can watch 10+ hours of movies on my Note 4 with a charge.
I'm feeling like it'll at least be as good. Which I was not expecting at all. Right now it's been better but I haven't really left wifi much.So overall is your impression that the Note 5 has better battery life than your Note 4 ? That would be impressive.
A user on Reddit has one and did a first rundown.
7.5 hrs sot on overall 8.5 hrs on a first charge.
Still to be seen how the standby is, but all reports look for it to be better than expected which is good news. Also he doesn't notice any ram issues. First impressions are good.

According to the images they posted - They had 8hr 42mins of total battery life
The screen accounted for 24% total battery - Android System 21% etc.. Not sure how screen can be 24% and still be 7hrs of a total 8hr 42 on battery ??
Fantastic if proves to be accurate though.
Just used the phone more. You'll see that the standby time went down as the SOT went up. I'm thinking it'll settle in around 22 standby and 6-7 screen on. Which is better then anything I've had for awhile. I have the note 4 and s6 active right now. And had a s6e. This phone will get me a little more then even the active I think. What did you do differently to go from 6h 41m to 8h 20m SoT?
Question though, could it be your note 4's battery is old?![]()

Top picture is the final stats with my note 4 ( which I still have). Bottom is my stats so far with the note 5. I'm averaging significantly better screen time on the 5.

Well I just got my note 4 less than a month ago. I have 24 lines with my business so I've always got upgrades. I by me the latest and pass down my old phones.Question though, could it be your note 4's battery is old?
If they were both brand new then it would be a fair test.
What do you think?
