Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra
I had Galaxy S21 Ultra with (Snapdragon 888) Hong Kong version in about 3 months, I did not like the battery performance of that phone at all, the SD888 seems to be very power hungry and I sold it. Later I bought (in Sweden) the S21 Ultra with Exynos 2100 and have that phone since 2 weeks, I can tell that I am surprised how the battery performance is compare to the Snapdragon model, also all around performance I can't see any differences.

Just to let you know, I had S21 Ultra with Exynos 2100 when it was launched back in January but I decided to return it back and get the Snapdragon model which I thought would be better in overall performance! In the first two months yes, Snapdragon was a bit better but now with more stable software updates I can tell that Exynos 2100 is performing better at least in battery life department!

Look at the attached screenshots from my battery usage..

* 50% WiFi & 4G.
* more than 60% usage of Bluetooth headset.
* Adaptive power saving on automatically when needed.

Looks better than mine. I ended up with less than 3 hours screen time at 40% battery. Did a lot of walking yesterday so the camera wake lock drain was noticeable.

Have you done any system clear cache and app repair as mentioned earlier?

Also a good thing to know, I did NOT add any app to force sleep in the power management section, I let everything to be done automatically, the only thing I did to enable Adaptive Power Saving option.

* Last time charged: 1 day, 13 hours ago!
* The SoT is: 5,12 h
* The phone possibly can last: 1 day, 17 hours
* 50% WiFi & 4G.
* more than 60% usage of Bluetooth headset.
* Adaptive power saving on automatically when needed (kicked in at 40%).

Adaptive power saving will turn your refresh rate to 60 most part of the day, so it's easy to increase the battery life doing this.

wqhd 120hz
30 min using bluetooth (tidal)
only 4 hours of SOT =/
exynos AUE1

Any suggestion to improve it?
I did a factory reset after march or april update, I'm not sure which one
Recently cleared cache and no improvements

Your overall usage seems good but people are more interested to see the SOT (screen on time). If you tap on the blue graph it shows you the total SOT.

Have been getting even worse battery life (and estimates) than this.
Debloated carrier (ZTA) and other Samsung nonsense today, wiped cache, optimized apps. Going to leave it on standby during the night, from 100%. I'll be asking for a replacement if it drains on standby or if my morning usage almost kills it (turning off Wi-Fi, using only mobile data, GPS on, paired with active watch 2, moving around, listening to music etc).

Seriously, why in the world a device that gets 8h of SoT with gaming and YouTube would struggle to keep up with browsing the internet and music??

Whats your average SOT per charge? I moved from ZTA to ZTO on Day one to get rid of Claro bloatware
Was thinking about to back to ZTA rom, to see if i get any better than this

I'm testing that today. On idle I went from 97% down to 93 or 92% in the morning, in a span of 8h or so.

With my usage today so far (GPS, Bluetooth and mobile data on, browsing the internet with Spotify downloaded songs playing), I'm getting an estimate of 6h of SOT, for 100-0. To me, that's unacceptable. My phone came in the box with no battery from the get go, I think I got a defective unit.

Well 6h of SOT with gps, bt, etc is quite good 4 me...
What do you make of people getting 10h+ of SOT? Outliers or just not using GPS/BT and only on WiFi etc?
I really don't understand how people can play games, watch YouTube and browse apps while still getting way over 6h of SOT, while I am struggling to get 6h from 100% without gaming, just browsing and normal light usage.

In one hour of SOT, I went from 92% down to 75%, so that's where the estimate is coming from (about 15%/h). Is this really supposed to be normal for this type of usage? Cell strength here is good, using BT only for watch active 2, literally just browsed Twitter, used Discord and Telegram with Spotify playing in the background. Screen brightness at about 15%.

And now I'm getting 23%/h discharge if I have my screen on, literally just replying to Telegram.

I've now been told to factory reset and see if that improves anything. I will try not updating the firmware to see if somehow the may update (no june update here) is the culprit here. But if you're getting only 3h of SoT I am so sorry for you. If I was getting that little SoT I'd have returned it immediately, that's clearly not working as intended.

I feel like doing a second pass through the list of apps in settings and disabling stuff I wasn't using helped battery life even more. I now routinely get 2 days without a charge and can sometimes go pretty much a third day depending on how much I use the phone. Phone is basically running with most of the battery friendly settings enabled which include battery saver, 60 Hz, location off, 5G off, etc.

Anecdotally I feel like disabling some extra facebook stuff helped a ton. More interesting is that it doesn't seem to affect the functionality of the app or FB messenger at all if they're disabled (see second screenshot). I feel like these only started showing up after I used adb though because they have the generic logo next to them.

I wonder why you didn't root your phone it would be even more logical because you will have a pure phone without bloats ..
I always did, in the past,
the only way I customize my phone is by building my very own ROM from AOSP,
but it is so time consuming first to de-google AOSP, and then to tinker with the proprietary Samsung drivers, bootloader to make it work.
That's why you don't see AOSP ROMs for S21U.

All Samsung based ROMs make no sense to me, you'll get the same de-bloated experience you can get by just using ADB, but with tripped Knox, vulnerable bootloader, TWRP with no 2FA (maybe I'm not up to date then correct me) and malicious apps will get root access too.
I'd prefer to have a Sudo command.
From the security point of view it's a huge downgrade.
And again, no Bank app will work.

The only reason to "root" S21U is to being able to remove Game booster, but I'm not a gamer.

The only justifiable reason for me to root a modern phone would be Privacy, but not at the expense of Security, because in the end you going to lose both of them.

Update: here is an illustration what Knox actually does on the Kernel and Boot level.
    Knox.png
    Knox_cert.png

If someone is interested in technical details, here is a link with a simple explanation:
    1
Max resolution, max refresh rate, enhanced processing on, connected to my galaxy watch3 all the time.
    1
How much on Wifi only and how much on 4G?
    90% wifi.
    1
How did you de bloated your Exynos? And also what did you de bloated? Which apps?
If my battery life is something unusual for S21U, it would make more sense to start a new thread, because I uninstalled a lot of useless apps and services I would never use, and then after a week of observation I uninstalled or disabled 10 to 15 more because they drained the battery like no tomorrow, overall I guess I removed around 40 to 50 apps and services, maybe more, I didn't count.
I'm not aware of all services engaged in battery consumption, because before I use any Samsung phone, I debloat everything I don't need, after the procedure I observe all the services I don't use but they run nevertheless in the background and draining the battery, and uninstall all of them.
Today, I hope, I uninstalled the last one DQA it drained 14%, so I hope I'll get even more out of my S21U.
    com.samsung.android.dqagent

I came from Huawei, and I'm unexpectedly happy with S21U's battery life though after a week of tinkering.
I'm getting consistently over 10 Hour SOT and 2 days between charging, I'd say in line with my 1,5 y. old Mate 30 pro.
But, Samsung is well known for degradation over time, to prevent unavoidable disappointment, I'd rather stay calm.
    1
My phone is unrooted, I use debugging bridge (ADB)
    adb shell
    pm uninstall --user 0
Don't use -k command to preserve data and cache for no reason.

I'm new to S21U, I had experemented a bit to see whether the Ultra is convincing enough to persuade me to stand Samsung's, probably, worst manmade software ever.
It surprisingly did it. I like the hardware, and the option to get rid of almost everything Samsung, otherwise I'd have sent it back.
    So,
I'll put every move I did during the last week of debloating, and will make a script, because I'm afraid that some big future update will make the otherwise good hardware/phone terrible again.

    Today I removed another package
com.samsung.android.mcfds it drained 6℅ for no reason, I don't even have in my possession another Samsung device.

Samsung's bloatware just run in the background, I mean all of them, even if you don't use the services.

Take a look at my current state, I guess I'll break the 12 Hour SOT barrier
If you could upload details of what you removed I wouldn't mind seeing if I can get the same battery stamina as you

    Hey guys,
So a month after the launch of the Galaxy S21 Ultra, what is your battery life experience? Give us your feedback and numbers.
Please mention your chipset (Exynos or Snapdragon) and post a screenshot if possible.

Personally, I'm pretty satisfied with battery life. I usually get a day and a half with around 9h of SOT. I have the Exynos model and my screen is set to 1080p with standard motion smoothness. Bluetooth is always on and I use 4G most of the time. All other settings are set to default.

Android 12 could make the S21U a beast for performance and battery life. I've found performance to be good anyway.. battery could be better. Guess we'll have to wait for Android 12.

    I got the Exynos version.
    2
Can't complain, I get around 5 hours SOT a day with 30 to 40% left in the tank.

That said, I am stuck at home all day on WiFi, so sure that will decrease when I'm out and about with location on and 4g/5g but still pretty decent.

Exynos, QHD, 120hz, active 2 connected all day, some debloating and Bixby routines to switch to 60hz for some apps, turn off location/NFC/4g at home and sync/AOD on when charging
