!!Battery life problem!! PLEASE HELP

My battery life is about 1-2 hour in airplane mode just using wifi

I tried too many roms like cm10 cm11 omni slimkat and finally found the best for me Carbon 4.4.4
But with every rom my battery life is too short. When I'm charging If i use my phone battery percent stays at same or it gets lower.

I don't know what kernel I'm using and I don't know what kernel means.
Can anyone Explain the "kernel" and advice me a kernel that performance is good and battery life is much longer than this?

Be careful "Carbon 4.4.4 kk f2fs filesystem i8190" I don't want to brick my phone anymore because I'm really tired about this things.

1-2 hours ?? Do you keep your brightness at lowest, check wakeclock terminator and see what is waking your cpu while sleep, but i think it's actual battery problem

It really isn't that simple, "i want this , this and that" no! There are actually only couple S3 mini kernels and not all support F2FS, and most of them are overclocking & stuff..
