Try the network settings rest from backup and reset under setting . After turning off those wifi scanning options in location settings and wifi settings
It worked for me
Happened again. Wifi was ON almost entire night. Check the screenshot.

Also, what is this mobile standby. Its taking lot of battery. I did not see this much drain on my old device which was running on AOSP 6.0.1.

Give it few battery cycles and see . If that doesn't work then back up your data and do a factory reset and change all those wifi settings again and see.

And i think that mobile radio active battery drain is common in marshmallow devices as I have seen plenty of them having it and by the way it doesn't effect much in our moto g4 plus. I have 10-15% drain and still get 5-6 hours screen on time with wifi and 4G mixed usage.

Thanks bro.

I will wait for a week and then see.

I disabled wifi scanning on Location settings and it worked for me.
You can go to Backup and Reset though and reset your connection setting! That helps in some cases.

I've done exactly it all (disable wifi scanning on Location setting, reset my connection setting in Backup and Reset, keep WiFi On during sleep = NEVER) but my disabled wifi is still consuming more or less 900mAh in 1 day. :(

Did you try to hard reset the phone? I think that may be a software problem. In a night, even with wifi on I hardly loose 1-2% of battery. Also check if the wifi frequency band is set to some specific number. If it isso, set it to auto. The software will find the best band which will have balanced bandwith and energy consumption. Also do the same in router.

Well, I'm impressed

New Moto G4 plus. I've never gotten such good usage. 6 hr SOT has been, for any phone I've had, utterly unreachable. This shows first usage of the device - over 32 hrs.

On Stock with auto-update to MPJ24.139-49. Moderate to heavy(-ish) usage.

No special tweaks - no turning off wifi, etc. I did turn off diaplay/daydream. Also turned off display/notifications in the Moto app, known as Moto Actions in the usage screen - a bloatware thing that comes with the device.

Also, I turned on bluetooth, then turned it off after about 5 hr of usage.

People reporting high SOT, what are your most commonly used apps? Do you use apps like Foursquare or TripAdvisor which pull location? FB Messenger/chat apps? Trying to diagnose why I seem to only be getting 3-3.5 hrs SOT. Cell service is bad in my office all day, I'm sure that could contribute, but I am on wifi....

I use twitter/gmail/phone/google search/chrome/weather/inv (investing)/inoreader/camera/a few others. Ie, pretty vanilla - none of the ones mentioned. I try as much as I can to avoid push notifications.

But, with the set noted above, i've never gotten close to 5, let alone 6 hr SOT on any device, so, to me, this is pretty great.
